Restaurant Posthoorn, part of Suitehotel Posthoorn is located in two beautifully restored buildings from the 17th century. Upon entering you will experience the richness of the Golden Age, and you can feel the influence of prominent guests of yesteryear.
Overall just a wonderful night out. Posthoorn pays a great attention to the details of their dishes. Their ability to find that "just right" temperature in all of the meats/food they prepared is simply wonderful. What I believe to be the signature dish "Iberico Pork" is a fantastic grouping of textures and flavors. I addition we also found the Kabeljauw (cod) to be a pleasant addition to last nights menu. The fish simply melted away into your mouth. All in all, If you are passing through these beautiful towns in north holland and love a memorable meal, then certainly add Posthoorn to your map- Well done and thanks for the great bites.Thank you. Hope to see you again. Kind Regards, Marc & Team

We visited with friends to try out this new restaurant.Interesting menu with a good range of in a modern European/ french style. Beautifully prepared and presented. The fish of the day was fantastic. The portions were moderately sized rather than large, with the exception of the creme brulee which seemed to be enormous. The service was good. The restaurant wasn't heavily pre-booked but was full by before 8pm, with a range family groups, friends or couples of different ages.Three courses and two bottles of wine plus a beer cost just over 200 Euros.

Now we would never of found this place had we not been taken by friends that frequent this restaurant on a regular basis, and I understand why, it is excellent. The service is friendly and efficient, and our server offered great suggestions from the menu. We dined with 6 friends and we all enjoyed our dishes which ranged from Sea Bass to one of the best Fillet Steaks I have ever enjoyed. The restaurant is also very comfortably decorated, and has a great atmosphere, I could only hope that we had such a place in our home town.
