Find out what French restaurants to try in Sandton. Sandton is an affluent area situated within the Johannesburg Municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. It is well known for being the richest square mile in Africa. The name comes from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston. In 1969 Sandton was promulgated as a municipality in its own right, but lost its status as an independent town after the re-organisation of South African local governments.

Lanser's on Main serves exquisite home-styled Italian and French food with an ambience to match. Weâre open from 11:00 â 21:30 every day, except Sundays. Weâre always looking forward to welcoming you.
It all started well. The interior looked fun, quirky and arty and the chef/owner was friendly and hands-on. The starters were all delicious - our group had the fish cakes, springbok carpaccio and fried haloumi. For mains the T-bone was beautifully done and the pesto pasta good. My porcini risotto, however, was far too rich and porridgy and the pork belly was miles too sweet. I want to recommend to the owner that he adds a few healthier alternatives to the menu. Many modern patrons will take issue with all the rich food, fried starches and highly sugared items. The service was slow and rather absent. Would I go back? Probably not. Thank you for taking the time to post your review, hannetjieeWe're so glad you enjoyed the personal and hands-on service of Lanser's on Main. Our goal is that all of our guests enjoy a relaxed evening with tasty classic Bistro food. For us it's always about the full experience. We're sorry that didn't translate all the way through for you. Thank you for your feedback on food. It's always important to hear from our guests. I am sorry we didn't have an opportunity to chat about your thoughts on the evening. I love chatting with guests about their meals, especially if there's something that doesn't agree with their expectation.Friday evening was a difficult night with a Tenant Opening Party that was going on in the parking lot (we had nothing to do with that). It was noisy and we did have to put out a few fires with regular guests frustrated on the night with the lack of parking. If our attention was lacking, I do apologise.--Lanser
Reubenâs Restaurant is a down to earth restaurant with a sophisticated culinary style that celebrates food in its entirety. The menu has a worldly theme with strong Asian and Cape Malay influences that showcases the modern, eclectic and contemporary resta
Reubenâs is in a really nice location, at the Capital Moloko. It has a lovely outside feel, and is therefore a good choice for lunch. Unfortunately there was a problem with the pool, so we had contractors marching up and down past our table. I wonder why the problem couldnât have been seen to before the lunch rush. Our meals (pork belly and chicken curry) were tasty and very well presented. The crackling on the pork belly was especially lovely.I think that the menu is very pricey. The pork belly main was almost R200 and the price of a 200g steak is almost R300.It was nice enough to go once, but at the price, there are a lot more competitive options available in Sandton.

Us group of ladies met up on Saturday afternoon for a bit of R&R and decided that Paul it would be. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and made a plan to seat us, even though we did not make a reservation.Unfortunately we had to send the first bottle of white wine back, as it was really warm, but what saved the day and turned it into a sparkling moment was the crème brulee!! Oh my word! What a gastronomical experience!I will even go back for more!

An impressive wine list specialising in aged wines from the mid 90âs which was interesting. Such a diverse and interesting menu. We had a complimentary glass of gluwein. Our table had the stuffed calamari starter, the mango and prawns and the seafood croquettes. Mains was rabbit, an amazing fillet steak dish called Steak Diane and the duck special. Lovely desserts and coffee.Just one slightly odd thing - on a Saturday night, we were basically three tables - what a pity that there is not continued and active support for this favored establishment!

This lovely little restaurant has become my favorite local restaurant. Always delicious food and friendly helpful staff. Salmon is yummy as is the steak frites. Mussels also really wonderful and the Camembert spring rolls simply amazing. Friends had the mushroom linguine and for a moment I had food envy, until I tasted my salmon with curry dressing. For pudding the brownie with the burnt vanilla ice cream is a must. Even better are the specials they have on at the moment! Love this place.
