Located in University City, Louie Louie is an American bistro with a French inspired menu offering seasonal, ingredient-inspired dishes based on a classical combination of flavors created by Culinary Directors Clark Gilbert and Ralph Fernandez. House-made
Husbandâs cassoulet was excellent my steak frites was ok. The French fries ( I ordered them without the truffles so got basic fries. Over cooked and nothing special. The creamer brûlée had good texture, but too much vanilla. Very attractive restaurant, a bit too loud. Good service.

Once you step inside the door, you'll feel like you've in a cafe in Paris, everything, from the old tiles, the bar, the bustle, the light fixtures, minus the stereotypical arrogant Parisian service lol. I won't recommend you have their coffee, but please make sure you order the French toast. It's the right balance of chewy, slightly moist, correctly sprinkled syrup, and perfectly poached apple slices with the magical amount of cinnamon. oh mon dieu.

After having thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Lacroix, we decided to experience a tasting dinner offered by the restaurant. The 6-courses affair (with the addition of various amuse-bouches, small bites and gourmandises it is actually more an 8- to 9-course offering). Without dwelling on particular dishes, for the menu varies and gets constantly reinvented, we can only express the highest degree of contentment and satisfaction we experienced and convey the continuous feeling of surprise, discovery and gratitude to Chef Eric L., the Chef de Cuisine of this supreme destination for the lovers of the high gastronomy. Highly recommended for both the inventively artistic cooking and excellent wine-pairing. Now, we shall prepare for Lacroix's next level of ultimate culinary experience, the multi-course Chef's Tasting Menu. Please expect our next review soon.Dear RGSOUNDFSo glad you decided to join us for Dinner and delighted to see how much you enjoyed your experience with us. Chef Eric and his team are truly exceptional and I can not wait to share your comments with them. Please reach out to me or Hani our Restaurant General Manager directly and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your next culinary experience even more special.SincerelySylvain
