This delightful French restaurant is hidden away on a side street in Bole near Mickey Leyland St and the Caravan hotel. The food is first class and the prices very reasonable. The owner, an elderly French gentleman welcomes every guest. I've eaten there twice in the last two days and was very satisfied both times.

In principle a nicely decorated place but I am coming not to see the place but for the food. The service was lousy even and the food acceptable, nothing special. Nowadays with so many new places all over the city you need more than a nice looking place: quality of food and of service! Both was missing...

Belgian Restaurant in the Centre of Addis Ababa, Open every day except Sunday evenings and Mondays Every Sunday we serve a Brunch from 10.30 till 3Pm
I have visited a couple of times for brunch now and have really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. There doesn't look to be a lot of choice when you initially arrive but the brunch actually includes some items, for example, omelettes, waffles, roast chicken that aren't obvious. Do ask if they are not forthcoming in telling you (And Le Grand Reve - this is a selling point for you - tell people what's included right away, tell them how great your brunch is!) The only down side is the lack of local wine. They do have imported wine but not very good choices and it's quite expensive for what it is. I do hope they get some better choices of wines in the future.

I used to visit this restaurant frequently when I lived in Old Airport. The food is still excellent. The restaurant set up is essentially the same in the newer location. It's a French themed restaurant with some West African influences. Having lived in Senegal I appreciate them having Yassa Poisson. The only issue is that it's a little pricey, but the food is worth it.

The location is handful. The decades-experienced staff are willing to cook tasty Ethiopian, French and international food, accompanied by a wide selection of wine. Equally a Cafe-space for macchiatos and light breakfast. Elegant materials: seats, tables,
We stopped in here for pastries and coffee. This is a nice clean facility, but nothing special to go out of your way to eat here. There are lots of average cafes/bakeries in and around AddisThanks for your comment.Did you turn the corner around the open kitchen, and see the restaurant space behind? Our menu as well features some French dishes that may well not be found in the area around, at the 'average cafe & pastries' mentioned.Since we are opened since a few months, plans are on the table to slowly improve our cafe & pastries corner. Maybe French crepes!...Please give us another try if ever you come back around Amist Kilo.
