Don’t miss this stop! What a great place to stretch your legs, wade in the river, climb on very cool round rock formations. There is plenty of parking. The park is surprisingly clean / well kept, and the rack of courtesy life jackets is a fantastic idea! They do allow dogs on leashes; they do not allow alcohol.

Wonderful visit with Ann Carver of the Somervell History Foundation! Ann opened the museum on Tuesday (usually closed) and gave us a special tour since we were only there in Glen Rose for 24 hours. This is a great place to catch up on local history as well as view beautiful art pieces and antique furniture.

The town square is worth a visit. We found a nice restaurant (Story Book Cafe), soda shop (Shoo-Fly), and a nice museum with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner/docent.
