Cape Tourville Lighthouse

Reviewed By Sonja2020 - Brisbane, Australia

The short walk around the point and up to the lighthouse provided wonderful views across the ocean and also across to the mountains and bays in the National Park. The road up to the lighthouse is quite steep in parts. But the walk from the car park is relatively easy and takes you around the edges.

Coles Bay Jetty

Walking out onto the Coles Bay jetty made us wish we had bought our fishing gear with us this trip. Incredibly clear blue water allows you to watch the fish and squid swim past. Grab a pie and coffee from the bakery and wander out for a very restful lunch.

Friendly Beaches

We stayed overnight at the Friendly Beaches camp ground - a free camp overlooking the beach. Sites are made separate by natural vegetation. You cannot book so first in best dressed. No power or running water. Drop toilets with toilet paper but no hand washing facility. An amazing location - spectacular scenery. Cold overnight so rug up. Would recommend.

Freycinet National Park Visitor Center

Reviewed By RichardMeg - Oatley, Australia

We entered the centre, requiring a Park pass and ideas on the best walk to do. We left with an annual seniors pass that allowed us to enter any national park in Tasmania for the next year- and it was cheaper than a day pass!!! We also received very thorough information on the range of walks that suited us. Thank you to the guy who helped us - your service was fantastic!

Hazards Beach

Reviewed By wombatdavid - Hobart, Australia

We love the walk up to the lookout, down to Wineglass bay, cross the isthmus, get to Hazards Beach and then back along the coast. They say 5 hours but we do it in about 4 and we are not the fastest walkers.
