Pakbara Pier

The owner at the Farmsuk Residence and Resort had booked ferry tickets for us. That would take us to Koh Lipe from Pak Bara. The stay included free transfer by an aircon van to the pier. It is just 10 km away from the resort. At the pier, we grabbed few fruits and local stuff for breakfast. There are plenty of shops to eat next to the pier, and also at the pier. But be there few minutes earlier so that you can check in easily before you board the boat.

Bundhaya Speed Boat

We used them to travel to Koh Lipe and they offered excellent transfer service in a good speed boat. Choice them over tigerline if you can.

Satun Pakbara Speed Boat Club

Not sure why there is bad ratings on this. Felt like I should leave a review as it nearly put us off travelling with this company from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe. Our hotel organised our boat last night. No need to book online for these things... it’s Thailand (don’t need to book in advance!!). Picked up from our hotel on time at 9:30 and transferred to the pier. Organisation and communication was fantastic (again I think some people forget we are in Thailand don’t complain when Thai people try their best to speak English for us!). Once at the pier someone asked where we were heading and we were given a Koh Lipe sticker for ourselves and our bags. We were directed to leave our bags at the front by the boat for them to be loaded in. We then went and sat down on the seats provided. There are clear signs saying 10:15 boarding and also free WiFi at the pier! More people arrived and then they called ‘Koh Lipe’ which we hopped onto the boat as directed. A smiley Thai man came onto our boat to explain that we would be making a stop at Koh Ngai as they had overbooked the other non-direct boat( ours was direct). Off we went and stopped at Koh Ngai which took the whole of 5 minutes to unload the passengers on our boat (no bags as cleverly their bags had stayed on the boat stopping at Koh Ngai). No issue and was very smooth we were off again within minutes. Arrived in Koh Lipe where we walked down a pontoon onto the beach where we waited for our suitcases to be offloaded and kindly carried up the beach for us. Perfect. Note: go to the toilets before as there didn’t seam to be any onboard (small speed boat). Would absolutely travel with them again cost us $1350 baht per person.
