lovely lady could not be any friendlier, Great food, Full breakfast excellent sausage and bacon to die for. Lady also let us recharge our phone batteries while we ate.Just brilliant :) I would expect vegans and veggies would be catered for but I never asked.wish I lived closer.

While visiting Stranraer we decided to buy a fish supper & we chose this café, as many years ago it sold reasonably good food. What a mistake we made, tray had loads of little ends from the potatoes in it, chips could have benefited with being cooked longer. Worst of all, the fish was the greasiest ever! It was swimming in it and the batter was coming off the fish. Felt guilty eating a fish supper, as its just an occasional treat but it was 10 times more unhealthy with the amount of grease on the batter. Wont go back here!
Never cook on a Saturday night, so I always look forward to our Chicken and Doner kebabs, and our Pizza..Problem is my son likes the Pepperoni and I love the Mexicano..No problem..The owner can do half and half..Oh and the salad sides are excellent also..

I have been using the star for over four years now since buying our static in maryport I visit roughly two or three times a week and up until now my only complaint was the quantity of chips provided despite me always asking for fewer.I visited once last week to the new take away section when the chips were barely Luke warm and again today when I waited for the chips to finish cooking only to find that they were hard as hell.I am really disappointed as the fish and chips were always miles better than back home In Edinburgh.I will now start using the Central Cafe across the road from you as their chips are ten times better than yours since you shifted to the new extension.I hope you can sort out your problems with consistency and claw back he customers that you will inevitably be losing.
