I am a Drive-thru person. Ordered very easily as there was a person taking orders on an iPad. Actually paid at the same time. Next stop...another person who confirmed my order from stop #1. At the window where I received my food there was a person standing outside by the window as well as the normal staff inside. This is where my experience changes a bit...my food was handed to me, then the drinks...so far so good...until I quickly looked through my bags to find no straws, no napkins, no condiments, and missing my granola for my yogurt. The food is always good for the price as compared to other fast food restaurants. The folks are always very kind. Maybe just a bit unorganized or new staff on that particular day.
Where to eat Barbecue food in Ruston: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We heard that there was a new sandwich shop in Ruston named Jiimmy Johns. A cousin in Wisconsin is familiar with the chaiin and gave us a recommendation to try the Roast Beef Sandwich. We didn't know where it was located for quite a while, because the article we read never gave the address. We passed it on southbound US-167 a couple of weeks ago and decided to stop and try it today. The parking lot in front is fairly small, but we managed to get in and out OK. I was glad we weren't in our truck. The first thing we noticed upon entry was how loud it was inside. There were only two other customers in the shop at the time, but the radio was really blasting. My wife and I could barely converse. We each ordered the #2 Roast Beef and a bag of house brand original potato chips. The staff was friendly and fast. Our sandwiches were ready before I finished filling our drink cups. The roast beef was good, but the bun it came on was tougher than the beef. The chips were good. With the loud music and leather-likee buns, we'll return to Subway in the future.

The food is standard Sonic fare but the two Sonic restaurants in Ruston are notorious for employees who work at their own pace and are anything but friendly and courteous. These are college students who definitely want to be somewhere else but need the money. If you are not in a rush and don't care if you get a smile with your order, drop by.
This is the worst Popeyes Iâve ever been to. Management doesnât seem to care how their workers treat their customers. So much for southern hospitality. I could go to Southern Classic and get better quality chicken for the same - if not cheaper - price. The workers there are rude and donât seem to care about their job. I went through the drive thru one night and the lady said âon god, hurry upâ after 5 seconds of looking at their drinks! Overall, the management really needs to up their game. Iâd rather drive out of town and get some Popeyes elsewhere. The workers greet you with stank faces and donât bother to smile. A little kindness goes a long way. Not good for kids or for groups because of the long waiting time on food.
