Me and the wife have been ordering from crustys since it began trading nearly 4 years ago after we became disatisfied with annother takeaway local to us Good quality and value for money family run with friendly staff Food hot and fresh via delivery or collection option to pay with card that more takeaways need to get on board with And late hours for those hungry punters crawling out the pub11/10 well done lads

I used to often stop here whilst doing deliveries in the late evening and it was a good old fashioned fish and chip shop.It was over 6 years since I last visited and I will never be back, my fish supper was served without a smile or any resemblence of friendlieness.The fish was like rubber and had been sitting so long it was inedible, the chips were a disgrace and had obviously been reheated on several occasions. After a couple of bites I gave the whole lot to the seagulls at the quayside - they actually ate them - I was surprised!I should have went back and complained but the rain and lack of time put me off.If you are in North Shields go down to the quayside where the chip shops are excellent, if however you want to visit what is in my opinion a leading contender for the worst fish & chip shops in the world then try Tait's.

This snack food outlet is one of the many delights of Grainger Market.We stop here often and are never disappointed. There is a small menu of freshly made, well spiced, Indian street food - all vegan.It's very tasty food that is also guilt-free. Even the plates and cutlery are chosen to have minimum carbon footprint. The whole place has care for your body, your spirit and our planet as core values. Yummy and very good value for money.
