Omg, I love this place! The chicken strips are my favorite for a fast food joint. The sauce is peppery and delicious without being spicy. The toast is really good too. The coleslaw is meh. Ok, here's the weird thing. The fries are ok as long as you eat them plain. Once you dip them in anything (Cane's Sauce or ketchup) they take on a very unpleasant flavor that reminds me of (sorry), the smell of formula-fed baby poop. So now I come here all the time and just don't order fries.

The cook was suppose to be getting trained and no one was there to train him. We came in at noon and didn't get served until 12:45. The staff were doing well just to keep up with all of the diners. The manager, we found out later, was not there to train the cook and orders just kept backing up. When they finally got it figured out it tasted really good. The server was very nice and comped the drinks to make up for the problem. As usual, food is good but you never know how long it will take to get your order.

I love a good sub same as the next guy, but we had never eaten at Firehouse Subs in Shawnee, so we wanted to give it a try. I have to say that I love all of the Shawnee FD pictures and other authentic FD hats, axes, etc. as decor. The tables even have a dalmatian print and straws are stored in boots! There is a large mural on the wall too of downtown Shawnee. Nice touch. The food was good. I appreciate the "under 500 calories" section of the menu. I got the turkey sandwich with cranberry relish and it was good. The size was just right. Hubby got a sub sandwich and they also offer an even bigger sub for an additional $2.50 more.We will go back.

This was my first time eating at Five Guys. I did not know what to expect. Fries and onion rings are ala carte. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I did not realize it was going to be a double cheeseburger. There were a group of teachers who went here for lunch. I really liked the cheeseburger. The fries are also very good. They have vinegar to put on the french fries. This was something new for me. One of the staff members told me their shakes are great. I was too full to try a milk shake! In fact, I had to give most of my fries to another person as I had too much to eat. I paid $13 dollars for the bacon double cheeseburger, fries, and a coke. You can get a burger for around $5. The best thing about the burgers is that you can get a large selection of toppings, such as mushrooms, without an additional charge.
We eat at this location periodically because it's close, but admittedly the visits are getting farther apart because the place is run down. The staff has always been patient and friendly and the food is good, but the dining area needs work. It just feels dirty.
