Established as one of the oldest fish and chip shops in Blackpool, we are proud to be known as The Best Chippy in Blackpool! We serve delicious haddock and cod and have daily specials. We welcome families and large groups as we have seating for 126 people
Every year we visit during the illuminations and the food is always absolutely delicious! We wonât go anywhere else in Blackpool or even at home for fish and chips as the food here is always amazing! This visit was special as we brought along our newborn baby who was 6 weeks old. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us! We had the window seat near to the door and the manager (I think the lady with the short dark hair in a dress) ensures that the whole time the door was closed to keep the cold out. Not only that the staff that served us were so patient with our pram in the way nothing was too much. Finally as a breastfeeding mum I have never felt more comfortable in feeding my baby out and about. The staff and other customers didnât bat an eyelid, didnât stare and gave me great confidence-even when sitting in the window seat. If youâre looking for fantastic food and a warm, inviting atmosphere from staff and the customers this is the place to visit!! Thank you Yorkshire Fisheries we canât wait to visit again soon!Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad that you felt comfortable with your beautiful newborn baby, and itâs great to read how much you enjoyed your meal. We look forward to seeing you all again next year when hopefully your little one will be eating fish and chips too!

Located in a beautiful seafront building on Blackpool's prom, opposite the North Pier. By exposing many original features we have given the restaurant a modern 'ruin bar' feel. The decor ties in with the street market style menu; specialising in noodle an
When we entered the restaurant mid afternoon, one of our group greeted the staff with a friendly "Ola". This did not appear to go down well with the manager who told the waitress to put our small group in a corner table in an almost empty restaurant. We ordered a starters, small plates and drinks. One of the group has food allergies and asked for a dish without sauce and was told that this was boring! Rather that than ill. We decided to cut our losses and leave after this. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but the attitudes need improvement. Over £100 including tip for a forty minute visit. Thanks for coming to dine with us and great to hear you enjoyed your food. I spoke to the manager working yesterday and he remembers talking with you and thought he'd had a pleasant exchange, it's sounds like his 'boring' was was met as well as your 'ola', maybe they were lost in translation! He asked me to pass on his apologies if you thought there was any underlying current :-)I asked him which table he'd seated you at and it was the large sharing table in the window, many people like this as it has a nice view but as you say, the restaurant was quiet at the time you visited so if you'd asked we'd have happily moved tables for you.Anyway, hope we see you again, when I'm sure you'll be greeted with a smile :-)

Traditional Fish & Chips restaurant Great fresh food at Reasonable prices.
Called on a very wet Saturday evening. Found a decent table near the service area. We ordered 3 cod and chips with mushy peas, and a steak and kidney pudding. They had no steak and kidney pudding so my brother opted for the pie. The restaurant was packed and they were very busy. They had run out of some cutlery but they bought some along with the food. All looked except two of the fish didn't look like cod. When I tasted mine the fish was almost cold! I took it back to the counter and the guy in charge apologised. In a matter of minutes a fresh one came, it looked liked cod this time and was piping hot and delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. As we were leaving the guy in charge came over and apologised again, a nice touch. Would have been 5 stars but for the cold fish incident however we will definitely return to The Sea for more delicious fish and chips.

Stayed nearby at a seafront B&B when in Blackpool so tried this chippy one evening, after noting it had been voted number one chippy in Blackpool by readers of the local paper.Certainly an excellent fish & chip establishment, my son and I opted for standard fish chips and mushy peas options (great debate about âpeas overâ or âpeas separateâ - Iâm in the former camp, which he thinks is disgusting) and grandson had a fish bites childrenâs meal in its Dennis the Menace box.My only real reservation is the limited opening hours. These seemed shorter when we arrived than we had understood from Facebook, meaning the restaurant was closed, only the take-away open. Fortunately the landlady at our nearby accommodation was happy for us to use the dining room there.
