Since 2006, FARMLINK collects and processes the crop from over 100 local farmers. Visitors are welcome for a free guided tour of our Workshop located in Kampot. Discover all the secrets behind the Kampot Pepper refining process as well as other local culinary wonders. Visitors also get the chance to taste Kampot Pepper
Not having time to visit a Pepper Farm, I dropped into Farm Link in Kampot with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised by the free, informative tour and answers to our questions. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the pepper, salt and palm sugar tastings. There were enough plants outside in the garden to see the difference between different pepper plants as well as see peppers drying and being sorted for quality. Very affordable products available in the shop given the amount of labor involved in production.

La Plantation is a social and sustainable family project, the perfect combination of traditional farming and modern processing. At La Plantation, we produce Black, Red, White Kampot pepper and the exclusive Fresh Salted Kampot Pepper, Red Long Pepper, Turmeric, Bird Chili and local fruits. Grown traditionally and harvested by hand, our spices are processed with high standards in quality and hygiene and are certified organic by Ecocert. Presentation, tasting and free guided tour in English, French, and Khmer. You will understand why Kampot Pepper has been elected #1 best pepper in the world. La Plantation has also a social dimension by improving the living conditions of many people in this rural area and by taking care of the primary school. You can enjoy our spices in our two restaurants (Khmer and French), or join a Khmer cooking class. You can also experience a tour in the rural countryside up to Secret Lake in a cart pulled by water buffaloes.
We loved our visit to La Plantation, awesome free tour and sampling of the different types of pepper which is unusual as most of the operations in this country are designed to grab as much money from tourists as possible. Great commitment to the local community. This was definitely a highlight of our trip in Cambodia. We would also recommend hiring a tuk tuk for the day so you can see some other things on the way out there.

Our Black Pepper Crab, Red Pepper Shrimp and Green Pepper Squid are the finest in the region. Refresh with a chilled wine or fresh fruit juice whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and breeze.
Outstanding service at their retail shop in Phnom Penh. We bought black, red and white pepper. Tried all of them right there. They also have red pepper vodka, which they make by infusing regular vodka with their red peppercorns. Outstanding. Gave us the recipe to make it at home. Super nice. Well worth a visit.

Easily overlooked this is a must do. As you drive down the dirt road, you will see locals out in the water “working” their crop, salt. Back at the Exhibition building, you can watch a short video of the history of salt harvest and exportation in Cambodia. It really is better than it sounds and is available in a few languages. There is an exhibit of the equipment used to harvest and prepare the salt for export. Bags of local salt can be purchased for $1
