Cocina de aldea e mercado
The restaurant is in an unassuming spot a mile or so outside Noia - easy to miss (look out for the café/tabaco next door). We visited for lunch twice, and both times were the first to eat, despite it being nearly 2pm! We are out at the back, under cover but in the very pretty garden. The menu is small, and you might need to spend a bit of time translating it! Highlights for us were the sardines (served simply, dressed with oil and balsamic, and a few tomatoes), and the octopus (served on a purée of vegetables). All dishes came with very good warm bread rolls. The house Albariño is excellent, and less than â¬2 a glass. A few small dishes shared between the 4 of us were plenty. The kids enjoyed the three chocolate mousse dessert. Service very good - friendly and helpful, from both the waiter and the lady chef who came out to check things were going well. â¬63 for 4 of us, including drinks. We returned two days later, with grandparents this time, and added two bottles of wine and slightly more expensive main dishes (also to share), and the total was a very reasonable â¬150.

We (a party of 4) had 3 starters and were happy that the friendly waitress advised us not to take more because otherwise our main dishes would have been to much. I disagree with the review complaining about serving size. We had the assorted grilled fish platter (grellada del pei) and paid 95 euros, incl. 2 bottles of water, a cafe and one dessert, the botle of white wine was 17 euros. I recommend the polpo starter and the cheese, probably "Rulo de Queixo".
Where to eat Seafood food in Porto do Son: The Best Restaurants and Bars

A bit overrrated. First we ordered ham, which was just sliced ham similar to what you can buy from any store around here. (note the ham in Spain is AMAZING, it's like prosciutto. Then we ordered a seafood dish with clams and octopus. It was extremely salty. We then ordered salad. As usual for Spain, it was tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. Very plain. The vinegar and oil boring and tasteless. We then ordered the rack of lamb. Finally, success. It was very tasty and not too salty. The potatoes that came with it however were so salty that they were inedible. The roasted small peppers were also good. The service wasn't very good, no offers of refill on wine or water (both profitable items mind you), The waitress was indifferent and didn't smile.I probably won't go again.

Also donât have big bottled water just small ones that cost a Euro. Frozen chips served on normal menu and fresh on chefs recommendation
