The pros : very good service, not too formal despite being a classical restaurant. Very good food with well priced menus. Excellent wine recommendation by the sommelier. The cons : we would have appreciated a better presentation/explanation of the dishes and their preparation when they were served. While wine service was very good service, water wasn't refilled regularly.

This was our special meal of the holiday -and the food and wine were excellent. We were seated in a conservatory, watching the light fade over an attractive garden . The service was efficient and friendly whilst maintaining a professional high standard. The menu choice is limited but we found the food delicious and satisfying (my husband is not a fan of nouvelle cuisine portions!). My breast of duck was beautifully cooked , very tender, and had an interesting sauce. My husband started with lobster - only 'alright' but then had lamb cutlets which he said were as good as he had eaten (and he is Welsh!). My rum baba was light and just sweet enough to be satisfying to finish the meal. We would treat ourselves here again!

Staying locally and looking for a place to eat. This came up on TripAdvisor- do did another- but that one was closed - very glad we came here instead. Very clean and modern surroundings, helpful owner/waiter (my husband is gluten intolerant) and delicious food all cooked to order. All very tasty and well presented. I had moules mariniere; my husband had fish of the day. We both had the house fish pate as a starter - not seen on menu and served as a surprise- but delicious. I had lemon meringue pie and my husband had creme brûlée for dessert. We are only here for a week but will definitely return. Very relaxed evening and clearly others in restaurant were enjoying it too. The owners deserve every success.
