Had a meeting in the area so needed a place for a quick bite. The entrance is deceiving. Looks small but actually can seat a bunch of people. We were seated immediately. After we went there, I heard there is quite the story about the owner and what he does for the community. Impressive! Opted for burgers but they had a great surf and turf that night. Bun was a little squished but it was excellent. The meat was very good. French fries and onion rings very good too. Liked that they offered a variety of dipping sauce. Seems like they serve breakfast all day. Might go there again to try it out.

Breakfast after wife's medical appointment. Around 9:30 am Uncle Dave's is located near 7-11. General parking. $ CASH ONLY $ The place is not too big. The same 2 hard working ladies have been working there for MANY years. My wife ordered Ham and Eggs, coffee and I ordered Corned Beef hash.2 eggs over medium, a biscuit with a side cup of sausage gravy. Yummy !! The servers are friendly and very busy. Your order takes a little while, be patient, it's served Hot. Our bill was $23.15.

Went here for Sunday brunch with two other couples. I had made reservations for six a week in advance. When we arrived no one greeted us or asked if we had reservations. We then had to wait while three different staff members tried to figure out where to seat us and push two tables together so we could finally be seated. Service after that by Sheri was fine. But why make reservations if no one tracks them? There were multiple hot and cold choices in the buffet line. First off, there was a very limp, wilted and soggy Caesar salad and some fruits. The hot choices were much better: a crustless quiche (more of an egg and sausage casserole) that was pretty tasty, biscuits and gravy, unimpressive "hashbrowns" that were more like Jo-Jo's (large flavorless chunks of potato), hard waffles, large sausages and wonderfully salty, crispy bacon. At the end of the line was a chef cooking omelets to order, which were fair...more like a scramble with veggies, cheeses and meats of your choice rather than an actual folded, stuffed omelet. And finally came desserts: cookies or 2-3 different pie slices and cake. The food was o.k. and there was plenty of it. The price was hard to beat for a buffet. Seniors like us paid only $11.25 and I believe regular adult price was $14,25. Coffee was $2.25 and they leave a pot at your table which worked well. So, we'd likely return on occasion.

I have been taking my family to the Big Apple since 2004. Itâs always been amazing. But the Chef salads lettuce on Valentineâs Day was gross. Iâve never left any of it, whether I ate it all or took half home. But my husbands omelette and pancakes were amazing. I had a bite. The service is always exceptional. Just one bad time in 15 years.

At this place people at different tables chat with each other throughout their meals. If they need a refill on their coffee, they don't wait patiently until the waitress comes by, they just give her a shout. Being from California where they just don't do that kind of thing, it took a little getting used to, but now we join in just like the locals, which, after 10 years, I guess we are. That's all well and good, but you don't come here for the conversation or the ambience - the place is home built without the assistance of a decorator. You come for the food which is all made in house - from the hand cut french fries to the apple crumb pie - and it shows. The presentation ain't Anthony's, but the fish and chips puts Anthony's to shame.Last night we got adventurous and tried a couple of the specials. I had the apple brine pork loin and my wife had the chili dog. Our always effervescent waitress, Cheri, recommended the potato sausage soup, so I had to try it. Great choice. It was more like a chowder and very tasty. The pork loin was grilled like a steak (thought it would be roasted) and was superb. The string beans were fresh and perfectly cooked. The O'brian potatoes were just OK and the dish would have been better served with a Fuji or Gala apple sauted with some cinnamon, but the apple sauce worked too.My wife enjoyed the chili dog, probably because she is a big fan of their chili and frequently just has a bowl of it.So if you want slick presentation and professionally designed and built surrounding, this isn't the place for you. But if you want really good food at reasonable prices, give it a try.
