This visit, my husband and I enjoyed Lobster Benedict (chock-full of lobster), Portuguese Blade Meat Omelet (awesome), a half-order of their famous Custard-Stuffed French Toast (LOADED with pecans and fresh fruits), and a side order of homemade Hash. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT. Our waitress was superb. You will never be disappointed at this historical diner!!!!

Stanley's has been selling hamburgers sine 1932. i doubt the menu has changed much since then, restaurant, too.The one large room ha a long counter with stools and about 12 booths for eating. It looks like a depression-era place. But it works.The menu is mostly burger, shakes and fries. A few entries like fish and chips, but you come here for the burger. I had a cheese burger. it is not as good as one for bar Louie, but at $2.50 vs. $12.00 and Stanley's is a winner. Hamburger comes with smothered onions on the grill, so it is really topped off. Burger was delicious. You gotta try one!!Street parking, but it was easy to park.

with such a great owner and such a great staff you will always be a winner.from the staff in the front to the chefs in the back he has it all covered. great diner style meals all from scratch and seating at the counter to booths. the decor is like out of a museum on the walls and the food is truly good. The best burgers anywhere and the meals are awsome and large and not expensive. Parking on the street or in the back of the restaurant. Has a full menu and also has an ice cream counter made of stainless steel.the real thing. Bob is a great guy and knows how to run a good restaurant. He may be funny but he is all business when it comes to his restaurnt business. he wants his customers to come back and he does it by giving great food and outstanding service.and he keeps his prices down ...all things cusomers love.

My sister ordered blueberry pancakes. When she got them they were doughy and toasted around the edges. She did not like them so she sent them back and ordered eggs instead. The cook (female) came to the table with the plate of blueberry pancakes and said "there is no way to cook them right because of the blueberries" then slammed the plate on the table and walked away. My sister who was not feeling good to being with. She was so upset and embarrassed that she walked out without saying a word and without eating. The waitress was even embarrassed and had tears in her eyes. Then she finds out that the cook is the OWNER!! Luckily for her my sister was alone and not feeling well. This was rude, unprofessional and uncalled for. If the owner is reading this, a true cook knows that there is a way to cook pancakes correctly without them being doughy despite what is in them. I'm sure there are continuing education classes for cooking and ethics. You should take them, you might surprise yourself.
