Bert's has existed in Palmerton for a long time. It is a no frills place to eat with good, quality food.. They serve a delicious breakfast all day long. The Roy is plenty to eat - two eggs, two pancakes,and two pieces of bacon. If you want a nice, clean mom and pop place to eat this is the place to go.

We missed breakfast(darn) so had lunch instead. Just burgers and chicken tenders. Fries were great . Service was good and wait staff was friendly/ Really fine desserts

Stopped in for a late breakfast. An extremely basic diner that accepts cash only (an ATM machine is conveniently located inside the front door). Lots of choices for both breakfast and lunch on the menu, but there are a lot of caveats. If you want breakfast after the normal breakfast times, then pay an extra dollar, because the grill in the kitchen gets crowded. Seriously? Many "do nots" or "can't substitute" hurdles. Nothing exciting about the food - it's just basic. Disappointed in the toast options. White, wheat or rye. What about cinnamon raisin? What about sourdough? How about bread that might be homemade, instead of out of a plastic bag from the local grocery store (and the cheapest). Won't seek this place out in the future. Real ho-hum.

Stayed at the motel nearby and walked to the Diner for breakfast, and got your basic inexpensive breakfast. Came with home fries which were not greasy, a surprise. Came back for a dinner of meatloaf with gravy and whipped potatoes (instant I think). Salad bar was basic and nothing special.Also ate breakfast at the adjacent restaurant but liked this one better. Parking was not a problem.

This is close to home, and we eat breakfast there regularly. The food is good, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly. What more can we ask for?
