I read the reviews on Annie's and decided to try it. Well worth the drive from North Fort Myers. The people were friendly and the service was very attentive. The food, you better go hungry. I had the 1-2-3 breakfast which consisted of 1 pancake, 2 eggs and 3 either bacon or sausage links. Let's talk about the pancake. This isn't you normal everyday pancake. The size of the pancake covers the plate. I ordered the pancake with blueberries and there were plenty of blueberries in it. Usually, I have to dowse pancakes with syrup because they are so dry, not so with this one. Very little, if any, syrup needed. I think it was a pecan pancake and it was very moist. Delicious without the syrup. My wife had an omelet with home fries. It was a huge omelet and plenty of home fries. You definitely that to have a big appitite when you go to Annie's. We will be back for sure.

Busy restaurant. Some of us had good meals and some were okay/so-so. Grilled shrimp were ok but expected better flavoring and size since in Florida. Other couples at table had turkey and hamburger. Service was slow but they were busy. Crab cakes were not much crab, much filler bread crumbs, and not that fresh-tasting. Good thing prices were moderate but still expected better due to the large crowd in the restaurant of mostly-senior citizens (us too, but much younger than average customer there when we ate). Waitress Leslee was very nice and apologetic for slow service and we understood as the restaurant was very busy. We did not complain as we were traveling through. This time... the crowded parking lot was not a clue to great-eatting. Should have reviewed Trip Advisor but the nostalgic look of Mel's Diner and full parking lot of cars was appealing to us senior citizens.

Love this little gem for breakfast. The home fries, eggs benedict and grits are top of the line. Service is friendly, but the place does get crowded during Snowbird season. It is a bit hidden, but there is plenty of parking in the back. Best breakfast in town!

Breakfast and lunch - they are on Facebook
If this is not your go to place for breakfast, you should seriously consider giving it a try. You are waited on as you are walking into the restaurant. The food is amazing. Priced right. Waitresses are terrific. Even the waitress who is not serving your table is friendly. Giving good morning to people she passes. Asking to fill your coffee or water.

Have been to several locations in FL and consistent throughout. Breakfast and lunch visits. Clean and sharp with visible kitchen and busy staff. Best hash browns that I have had & cooked perfect every time. Have recommended to several and will be back.
