Gab and Eat has been around for as long as we can remember. Great place for breakfast anytime, nothing fancy just good old-fashioned breakfast at a reasonable cost. Pretty much the only place we want to go for a cheeseburger. Only open till 2:30, pretty much always a wait, albeit not long usually. Breakfast scramble is legendary.

For those of us traveling the I-77 there would be little chance of having the pleasure of finding this diner, let alone eating here. LUCKY LOCALS!!!!! Plug this address into your GPS and take the ten-minute drive off the interstate. It is well worth the detour!!Apparently this is the newest (4 years???) of the four locations and I was lucky to be referred here by the lady at the SHELL station down the street.I wanted a simple chicken salad sandwich on white ($7.95) and there was a bit of a mis-communication on MY part for what I received.....but THANK YOU to my wonderfully friendly and attentive server SAMANTHA....you were totally right!!!The chicken salad had a bit larger chunks than I had expected......and included grape. Who would have thought that that would be edible...but obviously the chef knows a LOT more than I do because it was a real "pop" on the palate. To add to the deliciousness it was served on a fresh croissant which, sadly I could only eat half of as this was a very generous serving.A small glass of milk ($2.15) made this a FABULOUS lunch for under $11. What a terrific find and I hope I am back there in the the near future.

This was my second visit. I just don't see what the hype is about this restaurant. The seating space is very tight and the staff was not very friendly. At all. I was up charged $1 to sub a cheese in an omelette without having been told. When I brought it up to the cashier, who also wasn't very friendly or personable, she simply agreed that the server should've let me known. What I can say that I enjoyed was the home fries - they were super! Not that i think I'll be going back for them though...

We stopped here for lunch, which we never received. There we "regulars" the waitresses were chatting up and massaging (kind of gross to watch). The place smelled like a bathroom & didn't look all that clean. The waitress was busier chatting than being a waitress. She brought drinks and took our order. After a few minutes brought beets and coleslaw, which should have come with the meal. A half an hour later she brought a side salad. Two of the "regulars" came in and sat at the bar and another group at a table. All had their meals in no time, while we sat staring at warming coleslaw. The waitress went back to her chatting and it was obvious we were not a priority. We paid for the drinks and went somewhere where new customers are welcome. After reading some other reviews it was probably a blessing not to have eaten there at all.

We have eaten here a number of times over the years. We usually try the daily specials, but have never had a meal we haven't enjoyed. The servings are large. We've been for lunch, but are usually there for dinner. I would like to get there for a breakfast one day, but we are usually in the area later in the day. Bob's also has a few other locations around. Our service has always been pretty good. We both had the roast beef the last time we were there.
