DAMA pe de cabra is a PETISQUEIRA restaurant where you can have an experience of exquisite Portuguese flavours, thanks to its recipes of PETISCOS (a very tasty delicacy, culinary preparation made with great care at the moment) elaborated with selected tra
This breakfast and lunch restaurant is truly wonderful. Beautiful home cooked exquisitely flavoured food. It was absolutely sensational. We had a fabulous lunch here. The attentive, friendly and welcoming owner explained each item on the menu. It was then cooked by his wife using her wonderful recipes. Delicious and succulent. we only wish we had found it at the start of our trip. Highly recommend the Petiscos which are served with salad. We added a side of fries, fresh orange juice (which was presented like a beautiful cocktail) and a delicious glass of wine. At peak times for lunch - after 1:30 - there could be a bit of a wait as the place is popular and the host is attentive to each guest. it is absolutely worth it though! We will remember this meal as a highlight of our trip to Porto.

A high end spot with an amazing view located on the bank of the Douro River a 20 minute drive from Régua. We enjoyed a lovely dinner sitting out on the large sheltered deck. As the nights are starting to get cooler after the sunset (7:30), they had located many heating lamps and positioned cozy blankets on chairs just in case. It was quite pleasant. Food-wise you can order a tasting menu if several courses with optional wine pairings or do what we did and select from the ala-carte menu. Weâve learned with the big portion sizes here in Portugal to cut back a bit so we ordered two starters (burratta with tomatoes and the scarlet shrimp with rice). The burratta was a standout with creamy sweet cheese nestled in a tomato confit. The shrimp was interesting-it was almost like a mini lobster and the server removed the head at the table for me. We decided to share a main course-the veal tenderloin which was good but not nearly as tender as one might expect. In between there were little small bites from the chef and we ended with a luscious chocolate dessert. The white glove service was a swarm of activity instantly refilling glasses, clearing plates and changing silverware-it was a little much for me as our table was right at the crossroads of the activity.Wine list is huge as youâd expect with everything from wines by the glass for â¬10-17 to bottles in the hundreds and even thousands of euros. I saw one that was â¬6 thousand on the list. As is common in this kind of place, prices were steep and our dinner with 2 drinks, 2 glasses of wine, 2 starters, 1 main and 1 dessert was around â¬150.Bottom line a lovely place with great service and food and high prices.

We will be closed at the 24 and 25 December, and from the 31 of December till 30th of January of 2020.
We read so many great reviews about this place and it exceeded expectations. The wine list is phenomenal, especially the wines by the glass. Joana looked after us during our 3.5 hour stay here. We tasted so many lovely protuguese wines thanks to her recommendations. The view is so beautiful. Perfect place to hang out if you love wine. Come early for an outside table, it gets busy. Thank you Joana for making our experience memorable.

We had been searching for a memorable meal in Porto and had a number of disappointments. Finally we came across Eelebe that satisfied our palette. Mario Fernandes was our maitre d and was a very charming host, recommending each course that met our complete satisfaction as the evening progressed. The decor and background music was also very congenial. In short we have no hesitation in recommending Eelebe restaurant
