Conshohocken (/ˌkɒnʃəˈhɒkən/ kon-shə-HOK-ən; Lenape: Kanshihakink) is a borough on the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in suburban Philadelphia. Historically a large mill town and industrial and manufacturing center, after the decline of industry in recent years Conshohocken has developed into a center of riverfront commercial and residential development. In the regional slang, it is sometimes referred to by the colloquial nickname Conshy (/ˈkɒnʃi/ KON-shee). The name "Conshohocken" comes from the Unami language, from either Kanshi'hak'ing, meaning "Elegant-ground- place", or, more likely, Chottschinschu'hak'ing, which means "Big-trough-ground-place" or "Large-bowl-ground-place", referring to the big bend in the Tulpe'hanna (Turtle River, or modern Schuylkill River).

Went here for dinner with my daughter while visiting Villanova. The decor and atmosphere are fitting for its name. Feels like your on a boat. Food was ok. Itâs like seafood-themed pub food. Definitely a bit heavy for me, but tasted good. Service was very good though. Very friendly, quick service.

We are from New Jersey, a.k.a. The "Diner Capital" of the world where every town has at least one every few miles, so were are self-proclaimed diner-snobs. There's nothing better than a real diner experience for us, and sometimes that can be hard to find when not in NJ. Not wanting an overpriced hotel breakfast, we went out searching for a diner today in Conshohocken, the kind where you sit down and are waited on with a smile and endless cups of coffee... and were pleasantly surprised by Izenburg's. Atmosphere of an old-timey diner. Seating was easy, no wait. Waitress was friendly. I order poached eggs and they turned out perfect. Homefries were fresh, thick cut and tasted like potatoes; not greasy, fried, potato-like shreds. Sausage is large links with a sage seasoning, very tasty. Grits were good too. HUGE bonus here is that they offer gluten free options. The GF bread was homemade and so good I bought a loaf to take home, and the price was great. They have GLUTEN FREE FRENCH TOAST! (<----- Did you see that my gluten free friends? FRENCH TOAST!) The next time we are in Conshohocken again we will head right to Izenberg's and you should too.

I think all Wawa's are generally the same...overall, it's a convenience store with a better selection of quality goods compared with a 7-11.
Pete's is a takeout sandwich shop (also delivers) and is considered one of the best in town AND I think has the best cheese steak sandwich I have ever had and living near Philly most of my life that is saying a lot. They use Conshohocken Bakery rolls which is a must for any sandwich shop in the area. The meat is a very good quality and for some may be a little dry which I prefer to a little greasy. I always have American cheese, FO and ketchup. It has been a while since I visited only because I now live in NM and really miss cheese steaks, zeps, hoagies, Philly pretzels and Tasty Kake lemon pies.

Capp's took over the Frank and Edde's spot on Colwell Lane in an out of the way location in Conshy that leads to Ikea. Its an old fashioned deli take out with no in store dining. I have had their Hoagies and their roast pork sandwiches and have always been satisfied. Very fair prices and good quality. The folks behind counter including the owner? Andy are very friendly and offer quick service. On site street parking makes it easy to get in and out.Highly recommended.
