We had such a wonderful day with Will, even with the rain! (He taught us the word "smirr" for a light rain, which I misheard as smurf rain, which I think amused him). We are a family of 5 expat Americans living in the UK, looking for a private tour during these times of Covid. He had hand sanitiser in the van and was appropriately masked up and social distanced throughout the day. Will took us to an excellent coffee shop to get us started (he has great recommendations for coffee shops in Edinburgh), then guided us through Stirling Castle. He had asked us what we hoped to see and do during the day in advance so he could plan the day out and he went out of his way to try to hunt down a Highland cow for us, despite the off season (most are tucked away in barns during the wet season). He was super flexible for when the kids got worn out at a place or the road was closed to a site. The best part was chatting about a tour we took to Stonehenge and he piped up, "Want to see some standing stones you can touch?" Not 5 minutes later he had driven us to an isolated farmers field where we got to touch these beautiful old stones, standing in the mist. He took us to a very tasty place for hot pies and chips for lunch and was great about letting us eat in the van while he took a walk in the rain, since Covid restrictions meant no eating in restaurants and the weather was not great. And he was great about pointing out when we could and could not take a bathroom break, so we didn't end up with any uncomfortable bladders. All in all, it was a great day thanks to Will's stories and enthusiasm. We wouldn't hesitate to use his services again one day.

The Scottish Highlands are part of a historic region of Scotland you should definitely visit while in Edinburgh, especially Loch Ness. The dramatic landscape of ancient rocks, deep valleys and sapphire blue lochs will enchant you on a scenic private full-day day trip. For 13-hours, you'll see the best the Scottish Highlands have to offer plus the famous Loch. From the royal court of Linlithgow Palace to the battles of independence that took place at Stirling Castle. Get to know the tragic massacre of Clan MacDonald and hear about the life of Scotland's famous son, Rob Roy. Besides the fascinating yet turbulent history, you will get to enjoy the mesmerizing landscape of the Highlands and admire the nature that surrounds you. With many pit stops for breaks and photo-taking, you can truly capture the essence of the Highlands. See the indigenous hairy cows, wander through quaint towns unravaged by time and explore villages that offer a peek to how locals live.

Evelyn is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She really knows her city well and brings the myths and legends to life with her amazing stories. The whole family enjoyed the afternoon (despite the rain, which didn't really matter) and in fact it was the highlight of our weekend in Edinburgh. I would thoroughly recommend the myths and legends tour with Evelyn to anybody who is planning a visit to this really interesting city.

Luke picked up myself and 2 friends on time in a clean lovely van stocked with delicious snacks (fresh fruit, chips, crackers, cookies) looking dapper with a fabulous red beard and traditional kilt! He knows how to read his audience, giving great information at the right moments, leaving the group to enjoy the scenery at our own pace, and joining in for a laugh. The opportunity to see unique smaller sites without the hassle of a bus and a big group is invaluable. The selection of stops and the absolutely fantastic setting for lunch at the Kingshouse Hotel were varied, classy, and gorgeous. This was the absolutely highlight of our overall wonderful jaunt to Scotland. Thank you Luke!!

Andrew gave us the best experience on a trip out to Cawdor Castle from Inverness. He was on time, helpful with my elderly mother, kind, full of knowledge and just plain welcoming. He picked us up at our B&B in Inverness, promptly at the time arranged, told us all about the castle during our drive out there, and told us if we needed more time at the castle, to just let him know and he could adjust as needed. On the way back to Inverness, since it was my mother's first time in Scotland, he drove us by Culloden battlefield to take a look at the site as well as the hairy coos there at no extra charge, even though we were his last trip for the day and it took time out of his own personal schedule. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word and I would highly recommend him and his car services and tours to anyone who visits the area. The prices were reasonable, the service outstanding and you definitely won't be disappointed.
