A 40 minute drive to cool and lush Valencia, takes you to Pulangbato Falls or Red River Valley, aptly named because of the reddish rocks around the falls, and in the pool of water. Take refereshing swim, while enjoying the naturally cooler surroundings. Next head to the hot spring for the therapeutic dip. Pulangbato Falls is located in the Ocoy Valley in the town of Valencia Negros Oriental. It is aptly named so because of the waterfall’s seemingly red river water which is caused by the presence of natural reddish rocks found in the area. Pula is the native word for red while bato, for rock. Thus, if interpreted, the name would be red rock.

My friends and I went to Boracay way back May 2019 to celebrate my birthday. Was looking for an adventure that we can enjoy. Then I came across this diving at Ariel's point for whole day. I didn't regret doing this as activity as we really had a good time. We went to the meeting point in the morning, went on a boat ride for half an hour. On-board we had unlimited drinks of soda, liquor and beers which is really cool! when we arrived at the area we were given instructions by the staff. You can dive from 5m, 10m or 15m. And if you get tired from jumping or don't feel doing it you may, paddle boarding and kayaking. The location also was secluded and very clean!
A university town and provincial capital, Dumaguete is the ideal base for exploring what Negros Oriental has to offer. It is nicknamed The City of Gentle People because of the warm hospitality of locals. Your half day tour begins with a visit to Silliman University where you can stroll across the campus lined with acacia trees dating back a century. This stop also includes an informative tour of the university’s Anthropological Museum, better known as the Silliman Hall, which is only open on weekends. Built in 1909, Silliman Hall is considered the oldest wooden structure of Eastern Stick Style of American architecture in the Philippines. Next stop is a visit to St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral, the oldest stone church on the island, and Campanario de Dumaguete, considered as one of the oldest heritage landmarks of Negros. • An hour’s drive north of Dumaguete brings you to Bais City, where an oversized outrigger motorboat will cruise you along Tañon Strait to spot dolphin’s and if lucky, Whales too! You will also visit the Campuyo White Sandbar where you can swim and snorkel in it’s clear blue waters, or just laze around the fine white sand beach. • Cap off the morning with a hearty lunch onboard of mixed grill • Headback to Wharf by noontime and proceed to Sibulan. • Tucked 850M above sea level, northwest of Dumaguete, the Twin Lakes of Balisasayao offer scenic views and excellent nature hikes. Spend the afternoon kayaking or paddling on local banca, or trek your way through a 30-minute rock trail around the Lake.
