Oxalis Cocina Is a new culinary proposal that seeks the inclusion of local products, fish, meat and seafood based on respect for these and their preparations.
I went here with high expectations. I wasnât let down by the restaurant itself, which is beautifully located by the lakeside and looks like a little hut. However, at our visit the food didnât keep up. The starters were blend and I got a tenderloin cooked like stew meat on a mash of corn for a main. It wasnât impressive...We are sorry for your experience, here we may have x local food with high technic in cookingLet us know any time you would like to come back. We were staying at the hotel and came back from as it was raining quite a bit. Decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. Glad we did. We each ordered soups which were delicious. We split a club sandwich which was very large and easily fed us both. Love the South American club sandwich. This one had chicken, bacon, a fried egg, lettuce and tomato. It was a wonderful meal! The restaurant is very clean, has great views of the city and the service was prompt and efficient. A very good dining experience.

This is a Burger House, you will find the best Burgers in Puerto Varas here! Can´t miss it. Puelche Burger Bar
We decided to eat here as this was our first night staying at the hotel Puelche. We understood that the hotel had recently franchised out the running of the restaurant to an outside organisation who had taken over about 2 weeks earlier. They were offering 20% off food as a promotion. There were flyers to this effect in the hotel and we were also given the same in the town centre of Puerto Varas. When we first arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a charming girl who spoke very good English and who we understood to be either the manager or even the owner of the business. We ordered our meal which came and the food was simple but good. There were only 3 other people present in the restaurant. The waiter lit a fire outside and a couple with 2 small children came and sat and ate outside. After we finished our food we waited for the waiter to ask if we wanted a sweet (which we did) but he ignored us seemingly more interested in his fire. Eventually we gave up and asked for the bill which came and we paid (including - with considerable hesitation - a 10 % tip). We then realised that we had not been given the 20% discount. We were offered various incentives in its place but eventually were given a full credit and new bill in the correct amount. We spoke to the girl who was in charge and explained that the waiter had ignored us. What was sad was that she had been nowhere to be seen whilst all this was going on. No way to start/manage a new business. The whole episode was rather an unpleasant experience. On a positive note the food we had was good. If I may offer some constructive advice, the girl in charge needs to be on the frontline in the restaurant overseeing the staff and they should concentrate on the food and the customers rather than messing about with the fire pit outside which was a complete waste of time as there was no one there to sit round it anyway. I hope the business venture succeeds but I would not put any money on it. We feel very sorry for your experience, this is no excuse , but all this comments help us grow in a positive and better way to achieve a great service and hospitality. Constructive opinions will show us the way to be great. We hope to see you for the next time and change your mind on us.Thank you

Trifulca food truck is traveling food stalls on the waterfront of Puerto Varas lakefront and beautiful views of the volcanoes . Highlights "the best hot chocolate of your life" and churros with dipping sauces , plus we have a Turkish kebab sandwich called
We came here for a Chilean take on Turkish kebabs and we're not disappointed! The pitas were huge and stuffed full of meat and veges. Also the manjar stuffed churros are delicious! A great meal for a great price. We highly recommend this place!
