We dined twice at the hotelâs outdoor restaurant overlooking the garden, pool and mountains whilst staying at the hotel. On both occasions our dinners were very good. A surprisingly good appetizer was the Mollejas Crocantes, crispy sweetbreads served over fresh greens. Had it two days in a row. Where in the world did the name sweetbreads come from?! On the first night I ordered the Langostinos appetizer as my main course which was served over a salad of mixed greens. It was great. My boyfriend had the fish of the day. I think it was Pacú which was also very good. For dessert we had the wine poached pear with ice cream and the Chocolate Lava cake. We had glasses of the house white and red with our dinners. On the second night we had the Ojo de Bife (rib-eye) that was grilled perfectly and the Fettuccine Caseros, homemade pasta with a few vegetables and goat cheese sauce. They were both pretty good. Had the house wines again. The red was much better the second night. Service on both evenings was very good.Dear Deborah, Thank you very much for your detailed comments! We are pleased to know you enjoy with us!Regards, La Rosa en Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel

Tomásâ creativity adds up innovative techniques, such as the sous vide cooking, to the basics of the traditional gastronomy. Regional products are the protagonists of the menu, which changes with the seasons, and their peculiarities stand out in each reci
The lighting and sound was attractive. The waitress greeted us immediately, she spoke perfect English - from Italy, she said. Red wine and glasses of water were brought to the table immediately. The bread and accompanying dip (made from lentils, olive oil, parsley and garlic) was really well made. For entree we shared grilled goat cheese with spinach and a sort of marmalade and walnuts, then shared "false" risotto with rare strips of beef as a main course. Both were excellent! The owner / chef brought the main course himself. Not only is the food really well made, but the staff and atmosphere are impeccable. We walked out with a big smile. I do like it when all my needs are met! :)

La Cefira is a homemade pasta restaurant. We offer fresh, original and high quality pasta. Also we have salad, meats, fish, seafood and vegetarian food.
We were looking forward to pasta after rather a lot of steaks while travelling in Argentina so found this little Italian style restaurant. However it was not like any Italian restaurant because the confusing menu listed all sorts of pasta then a separate list of sauces. Italians would always choose the correct sauce for a particular pasta and this menu made it very hard to choose a good meal. The pasta was ok when we had finally worked out how to choose it, but the atmosphere was very flat and our meal was only ok.

Although opposite the San Francisco church this tiny restaurant attracts mainly locals. They serve only a handful of items, primarily empanadas, humitas and tamales along with huge and icy bottles of Salta beer. Everything is cooked from scratch is really tasty and costs hardly anything.
