Warm, inviting, relaxed and personal dining.
We have stumbled upon this great little restaurant. Iâve had breakfast which was made to order, lunch and now dinner. The service is good. Ambience nice. The food excellent!!! I had asked again for something not on the menu, they actually met my request and delivered my favourite pud, macaroons... delicious, thank you! It was busy with two large groups but this did not impact on the service or quality of our experience. It is rare to feel totally one hundred percent happy after a meal. My standards are reasonably high but I get sick of poor service and mediocre food when I know I can present a meal at a better standard, for a fraction of the cost. This restaurant is certainly achieving everything I require and I can recommend it highly. The monkfish starter was just delicious. My husbands steak was cooked, as he likes to perfection, melting in his mouth.

A delicious breakfast served by caring and attentive staff. Some building work has caused a temporary change to dining which means a little of the high end service had disappeared. Not quite the relaxing comfortable experience it used to be. Buffet table was nearly empty when I arrived at 7.20. Difficult other customers returning food they didnât like the look of meant my breakfast was slightly delayed. All in all a very good try and certainly wonât stop me eating here again.
A traditional bar with contemporary touches serving great food, tank beer and entertainment 7 days a week!
Came here for our friend's birthday/engagement celebration. Danni's service was absolutely fantastic, she even brought out a gluten free dessert specially for our friend - we all tried it and it was delicious! The veggie selections were really good and unusual, the broccoli and chickpea sandwich was lovely. We'll definitely be back soon!

... because it is tasteless, insipid is the word when it comes to the curry, but the Malaysian stir fry is super. All the starters on the set lunchtime menu are good, the spring rollsâï¸ Satayâï¸ potato skinsâï¸ and accompanied with a decent dollop of salad, the soups are decent too.As said the curry is quite tasteless, not much spice to it. However the stir fry is very good, it is not a think sauce, but it is packed with flavour. I tried the prawns; at a two quid supplement, but well worth it, six juicy prawns in a highly spicy dish. Very enjoyable, but be cautious in you are not friends of the spices. It was a lil fiery. Very reasonably priced too...

I've been coming here for years since it was first opened. Great setting, nicely decorated and should be a winner. On our most recent visit, it was average and that's a shame as it's got huge potential. The table was sticky, like it needed a good clean, and the service was slow and a little disorganised. We got a completely different order (on one dish) and it was obvious there was a mistake although they kind of covered it up 'We'll just get your pate and take away these haggis balls'. It meant one diner was lacking a lunch for a while. The burger came with strange pulled pork on the top, not requested, so could have been a mistake too. The wine was okay, rather than lovely. The portion sizes were small and I don't eat a huge portion at lunch. In the past they have been more sizeable. Overall, I was a little sadened as the last time I came here it was great. I'd come back and try again as it could be just the a few teething issues.Hi BettyBoo2u,Thank you very much for your visit and review.Could you please advise when you were in so that I can look into this for you.I can only apologise if there was an error with your order however I would like to investigate our end as we do not offer haggis balls or pulled pork on our menu. Our house burger does come with pulled brisket and is described this way on the menu, I appreciate this may not have been to your taste however we are always happy to accommodate peoples personal preferences and therefore would happily have served it without if asked. Our burgers are extremely popular and with a large housemade burger along with the pulled brisket, side of slaw and fries we feel this is a much more generous portion than many places, again the pate along with housemade bread is no smaller than anywhere I have been.Any further information you could provide would be helpful
