I have eaten all around the world, but never have I had such amazing food, paired with world class wine, served to me by such attentive staff. This restaurant is the real deal and is affordable. Forget your Michelin rated restaurants with TV chefs, do yourself a favour and come to Bodega Vistalba Wine Ber. What was meant to have been a 3 course lunch, ended up as a 6 course feast after the staff bought out extras, such as soup, appetite cleansers and some little cakes to finish off. The wine pairing and knowledge was also above and beyond, without being pretentious.We would definitely return to this restaurant. Just visited this little gem as part of an organized wine tour through Mendoza. Absolutely delicious! We opted for the 5 course menu pairing option, and were not disappointed. The steak dish was my absolute favorite. View of the winery and distant mountains was gorgeous. Highly recommend!

La Barrica is located adjacent to a large gas station frequented by truckers just south of Lujan on route 40. I know you are thinking truckers stop---well might be some truth to that only because they have a keen sense of value. Once inside you will be surprised to find out it is anything but!!! I have eaten here before and came away with the same feeling close but not quite living up to it's great potential. The service is always too complacent, but some of that is just Argentina. The presentation is excellent as well as the quantity and quality of food. Yes all the elements are there but somehow it always comes out average plus. Basically this is a lunch place but they do service dinner on Sat. night and have a great special, if you are dining with 4 people. Call in for a reservation and specify that you are ordering the special and you will receive 4 dinners (840 pesos value) and pay for only 2 (420 pesos) Don't let my average rating scare you away. This place is worth a visit!!!

The restaurant is 30 minute drive away from the center. We didn´t have a reservation, but it was a weekday and we found a table available anyway. Is a famous place inside a shopping Mall (Palmares). Food was great and service was ok.
