The municipality comprises the towns of Belzele, Doornzele, Ertvelde, Evergem proper, Kerkbrugge-Langerbrugge, Kluizen, Rieme, Sleidinge and Wippelgem. On January 1, 2006, Evergem had a total population of 32,244. The total area is 75.04 square kilometres (28.97 sq mi) which gives a population density of 430 inhabitants per km².

We were a late walk in and the chef/host accommodated us in a very friendly manner. The room is lovely too, like being in someone's house. No complaints there. The entree of prawn tartare was great, if a little expensive. When the mains arrived my rib eye (around â¬29 I think) was nothing more than a centimetre thick supermarket cut of meat, overpowered with pepper and accompanied by a little lettuce salad. The pasta main was good but way too busy and rich. We are happy to pay good money for food but this was disappointing beste,wij willen u graag bedanken voor uw review maar we vinden het wel heel jammer dat jullie bij ons vertrokken zijn met the big smile en vol lof om dan daarna hier op tripadvisor deze negatieve kritieken te geven.Toen ik als chef aan de tafel naast jullie aankwam hebben jullie mij inderdaad aangesproken om te zeggen hoe fantastisch het voorgerecht was.(1 voorgerecht dat jullie met 2 hebben gedeeld).Toch raar dat jullie dit nobashigerecht van 17euro duur vinden, zeker wanneer jullie dat gedeeld hebben en nog 2 bordjes gekregen hebben ook. Wat betreft de Ierse rib eye wil ik zeggen dat we steeds ongeveer 220g vlees geven en van ongeevenaarde kwaliteit is. De prijs is niet zoals u denkt 29euro maar 24,50euro!!! Wat bertreft de pasta snap ik niet zo goed wat u bedoelt eigenlijk.In ieder geval de volgende keer misschien beter even naar de kaart kijken wanneer u binnen komt om 21u30 en de prijzen checkt. Just visited this fairy-tale restaurant for the second time in a month, this time accompanied by three vegetarians ... We decided to choose the menu formula again, it turned out that it now amounted to ⬠39 instead of ⬠29, but for this price you got a complete dish per person as main course, whereas previously this had to be shared per two. Personally, I thought the previous formula was certainly ok, but apparently there were several customers who had complained that they had returned home with a hungry stomac ... In itself, this remains absolutely value for money, but on the other hand the manager could consider the 2 formulas to co-exist: ⬠29 if the main course is shared, ⬠39 for a whole main course per person. On the other hand, you can of course still eat a la carte, so you still have the freedom to share a main course. I remain lyrical about the quality of the food and drinks (very original mixes!), the location and the welcome (see my previous review): very tasty and healthy (the vegatians were also impressed by the quality of the vegetarian, even vegan dishes), beautiful interior and very cordial and warm welcome! I am sure that this will be a stayer in the Ghent restaurant scene! Let's hope that they will adjust the menu a bit soon, because with 2 visits in a month's time we have now really tried everything from the list... ;-)

Tooktr the lunch menu - fine 'ameuse gueue' filling but coockie far too hard so teethbreaker- very nice starter with all kids of tastes- steak special with good add-onsaccompanied with a red glass of wine made it a fine lunch fully ready to go back

I am a local here, and visited about all the good restaurants in the wide neighborhood. This restaurant is my favorite, offering best price-value among the high-end gastronomic restaurants. Worth a short trip when staying in Ghent as well (though you will need a taxi, as public transport won't work), beats all the famous Ghent restaurants easily.Try the 'taste sensations' menu. Good wine arrangement available.

The staff was very helpful and friendly whilst they served our table. Nothing was too much.The food was very good in terms of quality and presentation.I would definitely go back there next time I am visiting my family.
