We regularly have take away from here and have also eaten in recently. The food is of an excellent standard. Freshly prepared and delicious. There are some more unusual dishes, as well as old favourites. It is very good for vegetarian and vegan options, great when you have a mixed group with different dietary requirements.

Fabulous restaurant. We enjoyed an exquisite set meal which considering the high quality was extremely good value. Chef prepares everything fresh to order and Katherine on front of house is warm, friendly and very efficient. House wine included in the fixed price was very quaffable. Everyone seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Highly recommended.

We tried this restaurant because we wanted seafood and the other two Brixham restaurants that specialised in seafood were either closed or fully booked, and JR's had good reviews, but we were disappointed - the food wan't bad just wasn't as good as we were expecting. We got off to a good start with the starters - my son enjoyed his starter of Fresh Scallops and my Tiger Prawns in a Chilli and Coriander sauce was fiery, but good. However, it was the mains that let the side down: my son enjoyed his Monkfish, Scallop and Prawn Medley (but found the sauce a bit heavy going), while my Lobster was a bit on the dry side and nothing special, and my wife's Trio of Brixham Fish was insipid and overwhelmed by the Parsley sauce. Based on the reviews, it would seem that ordering the meat is a safer bet.

We visited for the first time a week ago and were enthralled by the small, intimate cornucopia of our surroundings. Bianca and Massimo took the time to explain the menu for the evening, using fresh, organic ingredients. It was presented to us with such care to detail and each dish was an explosion of colour and flavour. What a gem.Dear Barbara W,thank you so much for your kind review. I had a delicious meal here last night with friends. We started with cocktail which was nice- but the cocktails were not the best thing to be honest. Beautiful bread and flavoured butter as well delicious amuse bouche bites. We all loved the food, the portions are not large but I appreciated that and was certainly not hungry at the end of our meal. Perfect macaroons were brought out at the end of the meal.I would definitely recommend
