Beautiful graphics and compelling photography had us book our room here. Though all items in the interior have been carefully curated, the room lacks function. No place to hang clothes or stow away a suitcase and no table or chairs to use for a snack or meal. The single lounge chair was lovely and the converted industrial setting was charming. On the practical side- we could hear our neighbors in the next room, the tv remote's batteries died rendering the tv useless and there were hiccups with the heat and hot water in addition to a small blue light below the Mr Slim continuously blinking throughout the night. The lack of function would be less prominent if covid was over, but as we got take out food to eat in, it was more of an issue.

Our resort features distinctive, large units with full kitchens, a new heated outdoor pool, a patio with fire pits, two tennis courts, a game room, and so much more! The resort is within walking distance of the ferry terminal in Old Harbor where shops, restaurants, and a movie theater are located. Beaches, live entertainment, a grocery store, and the public library are also within walking distance.
This was our first trip to Block Island. The week was a gift and we had no idea what to expect. The staff at the Neptune were wonderful..We upgraded to a two bath and it was on the 3rd floor.....no elevator.....lots of exercise......Brought a car which was a must. Brought food for the week since very little was open and the only market on the island is so over priced we could not believe it. Great views and the beaches are wonderful.

Graduation weekend and we show up at the advised check in time only to be told that our reservation was canceled by Global without telling us. They canceled notwithstanding my communications with them on parking, check-in time, etc., a partial charge on my Amex, we were on our non-refundable period (per booking.com). It was raining, everyone at Global's office had gone home and we had to scramble to find a place to stay. Booking.com did not help either. Last time I'll every use Global and sadly, after many, many years using booking.com, last time I'll use that too. Marriott Residences Inn was the silver lining - top service an accommodations.

Global Luxury Suites at Providence Place features spacious closets, fully-equipped kitchens and in home washers & dryers. This community is filled with spectacular on-site amenities including a great room with a billiards table, coffee bar & gourmet kitchen, a resort-style pool with a sun deck, grilling stations, Jacuzzi and a surround sound movie theater with plus seating.
It literally took us six hours to check in. By the time they finally checked us in, the place was not even cleaned yet. The apartment does not look like what they sold us in the pictures, and none of the amenities actually work. There is zero customer service capability to handle anything. You call the numbers and they only transfer you to a different apartment or tell you that they are going to email you back, then never do. Please do not waste your money on this place. It is a total scam.

First things first... Smugglers Cove isn't a restaurant despite TripAdvisor having it listed as one at the time of writing. Smugglers Cove consists of four apartments. They are no luxury apartments and the price does reflect this as they offer reasonable rates compared to some other places on Block Island. The apartments are generally fine other than we had some issues with the TV not working (not a huge problem as we weren't planning on staying in much) and the sofa bed is... absolutely awful. If you are staying on the main bed you will have a good nights sleep I am sure. However, if someone in your party is planning on sleeping on the sofa bed I would strongly advise you to reconsider. They are not tolerable. No right minded human being would sleep on this "bed". You simply couldn't sleep on it even if you wanted too. I cannot tell you how bad it is. Simply put, if you are after an apartment with a double bed, self-catering facilities and a decent view, Smugglers Cove is fine. If you're planning on using two beds (i.e. the sofa bed), look elsewhere. Seriously.
