We went to see this show on the recommendation by someone and we weren't disappointed. We where late getting there but managed to get tickets it was full up but the staff where so lovely and squeezed us in two rows from the front. This show is great value free drink, we got a souvenir and food and there is great interaction with the crowd on different traditional Vietnamese ways. Its a interesting show its a bit like a fashion show with music and a story. Definitely worth going to see in Hue.

You cannot visit Vietnam and leave without enjoying a water puppet performance! This is a typical form of traditional art and is only performed in Vietnam by experienced local artists. Puppeteers hide behind a screen and wading in waist-deep water operate puppets with a series of bamboo sticks. The fully articulated puppets tell beautiful and naive folk stories about dragons, phoenix, water buffalo and so on. In Hue, the "Co Do Huê Water Puppet Theatre" is centrally located and sided by the famous "Quóc Hoe Huê High School for the Gifted". Shows normally last around 50 min and, please, check carefully its schedules before going, as seasonal changes may occur. A curiosity! Unmissable! Enjoy!
