At over 2000 years old, Nijmegen has had a pretty full life. Its transition from Roman military camp to modern municipality has not been without growing pains, but today Nijmegen is thriving, largely because of its lively student population and its status as a hub for political activism. Try to visit during the internationally popular Nijmeegse Vierdaagse four-day walking festival and the epic Zomerfeesten summer party. They happen at the same time, because why not?

Nijmegen's only English Language Comedy Club, featuring comedians from all over the country and further afield.
Great show! The room was completely full, it was hard to find even a standing place so get there early. Comedians were very funny and diverse. Host is lovely.

First time in Doornroosje and I fell in love with the place. It's so close to the station, fairly spacious and great acoustics. Saw 1349 & Abbath back in January and I was totally taken by the quality of the sounds and the lighting. Nice staff. Place is easy to navigate. Kinda like the side door cos it was pretty easy to get to the front. Will be back for another gig, if there's something I like. Who knows.
