Now if it was up to me I would almost never choose Chinese for dinner, but I was outvoted 3/1. The food here was better than any Chinese I have had in Australia. The lady running it has run it for decades so she is doing something right. The honey prawns and honey chicken were delicious. The beef in Chinese style was really good too. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked on a well seasoned wok, it wasnât to my liking so much but I could appreciate the flavour of it. The price is pretty good and was almost half of the price of spices Indian on the other side of town. We got take away but the view from the restaurant was really nice and would be good to get there early and watch the sunset.

Located in the same street as Aquamarine Dive centre
Per previous reviewer, we really didn't know what to expect when you first sight the place from the street, however when you first walk inside you are pleasantly surprised by the clean quaint ambience and friendly manager. So much wonderful food to choose from, however, we went for some share dishes; the chicken, beef and the best dish of all the smokey bbq port....wow what a taste sensation! I loved it so much I chased the manager's mother (head chef) into the kitchen to give her a great hug....Such a great time we had. Very much recommend this restaurant.

Tasty, authentic restaurant run by husband and wife team. Clean, quick service and extensive menu in English.
Eat in or takeaway, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Luganville! Delicious food, generous servings. Only complaint is that although it is advertised as a Sichuan restaurant, their dishes are not really spicy, even the Sichuan standards, like Kung Pao Chicken. I guess they've been toned down for Western tastes, but no problem - the food is really good! There are not many reasonably priced dinner options in Luganville, so put this little gem on your radar.

We make the best handmade noodles and stir fry you'll ever eat. Our noodles are handmade right before your eyes the same way we have been doing in China for the last 4000 years. Come and see us in downtown Port Vila...You will be glad you did!
I was fortunate that friends recommended this place and after walking by twice, I finally went. It was great. A huge,no, a super huge portion, very good, very tasty, and obviously freshly made by the chef who impressively prepares the noodles on site. I go again when I come back!

The Golden Port Hotel is built on top of the Golden Port restaurant. The attention to details (French old world decor themed) is very good and everything seems to be relatively new. The rooms are well furnished with coffee machine , complimentary tea and coffee , room safe, a small cooler, LCD TV, split type air conditioning and a glass walled shower and bath (with curtains if you are the shy type ). They have complete toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and soap)shampoo, slippers and a universal electrical outlet so you can plug in any type of charger without the need of an adaptor. Breakfast consisted of plated shrimp dumplings which is very delicious, hard boiled egg and choice of fruit drink. The location is, by foot, 1 minute from a popular bar /restaurant, 2 minutes from a big Au Bon supermarket, near a money changer (across the street at the Melanesian Hotel) and 8 minutes to the central market. PROS:-clean large new rooms-very well detailed rooms, hallways, and restaurant.- spacious toilet and bath with wall to wall to ceiling tiles. -strong water supply-new fresh towels and beddings-large LED TV-nice balcony -helpful front desk- accommodating staff and owner. -near a convenience store to buy bottled water, beer, etc.-near a local takeaway diner to buy local cheap food if you don't like Chinese food. -modern keyless entry for the doors.-good relatively fast and strong FREE WI-FI in the rooms and restaurant. -excellent airport shuttle service. -affordable room rates.-Nice view of the lagoon from the balcony. CONS :-No lift so if you have some heavy luggage or grocery and you're staying in that 2nd or 3rd floor then you take the stairs. -No telephone in the rooms. -A complimentary bottled water would have been nice. Definitely worth the stay.
