Four of us had dinner in The Strawhat. The food was very good.Flavours were subtle ingredients of high quality. We started with a range of appetiser, including the delicious Wasabi prawnsWe followed with half a duck, and ended with chicken ,beef, squid ,together with rice and Singapore noodles. We had two gin and tonics, two rose champagne, and three glasses of wineWith service ,the bill was exactly £200.I'm sure other local Chinese resturant are cheaper, but not of similar quality.

fast food noodle bar restaurant in Harlow town centre, Essex. CM20 1BX many types of noodles and rice dishes.
I've been a customer of King Du for some time and it has always been good, I've never left disappointed. Honestly it is one of the best places to eat in Harlow, they do takeaway too (though you have to pick it up yourself from the restaurant), usually ready to pick up within 15 minutes! The prices are very reasonable for what you get, portion size is huge and the quality is outstanding.

Oriental noodle bar located top end of the bus station, behind Boots. Parking after 530pm every Evening and all day Sundays at Water Garden car park is only 50pence.
We ate in here one evening, welcome was friendly, plenty off choice for food and help yourself to soft drinks from a container that`s topped up with 2litre bottles (I would have though a pump mixing water, syrup & gas would be cheaper for the business?). Help yourself to as much or little as you like, lots of prawn dishes, beef, pork, rice & noodles also desserts. We would eat here again for sure. Would benefit from air conditioning as it was a very hot day when we visited.

Had a takeaway from here, the second time we visited since the name change/change in management. First time was OK, which is why we returned today. However we were sadly disappointed at all 3 main dishes we selected and especially the Mixed Starter selection which was greasy. For "cooked to order" food, it tasted stale especially the prawn toasts. The crispy seaweed was inedible and the pot of sauce was extremely acidic; we ate neither. The mains; the squid was overcooked and hence chewy; the duck was fatty and instead of spring onions as advertised, cheaper white onions were used and the S&S prawn dish tasted soggy and definitely not "cooked to order" or fresh. All in all a disappointing £26 mistake.
