My husband and I went there for the first time for lunch today. We were happily surprised that the daily lunch menu that ends at 2:30 pm included weekends. We arrived around 2 pm and there was still a steady flow of customers. I had the chicken and vegetables in brown sauce and my husband had the Kung Pao chicken. The combo plates came with soup (we ordered the soup of the day - corn soup), egg roll and rice. Everything was delicious and the egg roll was large and crispy. The location is not the easiet to see - it's tucked in the back of an older strip shopping center. Elaine, the owner of the restaurant was very friendly and shared that this week is the restaurants' 34th year in business - apparently, her loyal customers have had no trouble finding it. We will be back.

Service was very prompt and friendly. As appetizers we had pan fried pork pot stickers and shrimp rangon. Both were very good. For our meal we had Orange Chicken and Four Treasures. The Orange Chicken was very generous portions of white meat. The sauce was very tasty. The Four Treasures was a mix of beef, chicken, scallops, and shrimp. The beef and chicken were very tender and the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. The vegetables were al dente to pefection. The sauce was great. I will be very happy to eat here again.
Where to eat Barbecue food in Rosenberg: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I visited this fast food restaurant for the first time with my grandson for lunch. The server was poorly trained and could not describe the dishes. We based our options on looks. My grandson and I each had different choices but we tasted each other's food. He was happy with his fried rice, but I thought every other dish, including the eggroll tasted excessively sweet. We couldn't eat much of it at all.

The portion size are plentiful and prices are reasonable. The Crab Rangoon and steam dumplings are good, nothing special though. The Kung Pao Chicken and Singa Chow Mei Fun were also good. Order was ready when picked up. No problems.
This is the first time eating here since they reopened after getting shutdown by the immigration officials. It looked great and I was excited that this might be a good Chinese buffet near my house. Wrong! They cooked (fried) oysters and were placing them in the pan while I was filling my plate. I love fried oysters so I got a few. They tasted like sewer smells. I honestly thought I would vomit. Steamed rice was brownish?!! White rice should be white! LOL! Nothing tasted very good to me. I tried the pepper steak and fried pork. Overcooked to the point of inedible. The cafe is not very clean and I just did not like anything about the place. I was sure hoping they could do better. 2 children 7 and 8 years old, picky eaters ate 2 slices of peach, some chicken, and a little dessert was $4.50 each! Plus drinks. Tab for a Sunday brunch for 5 adults (a 13 and 14 year old, also picky eaters and did not eat hardly anything) $85.95!!! Too much money for yukky food and not table service. I will not be coming back. Orient Cafe by Pecan Grove is not near as expensive and the food is lick your plate good!
