Reviews on Chinese food in Redding, California, United States. There's a variety of water sports in Redding, from whitewater rafting on the Sacramento River to waterskiing, swimming, fishing and sailing on Shasta Lake, one of four magnificent manmade lakes in this northeastern California town. When you're ready to dry off, there are also plenty of land-based activities, like camping or hiking in the national forests and parks, following walking trails through the 220-acre arboretum or spending time exploring two fascinating parks: Shasta State Historic Park and Turtle Bay Exploration Park. At Shasta State, you'll find the ghost town of Shasta City from the Gold Rush days, complete with restored stagecoach, barn and courthouse, with eerie reminders of where prisoners were kept and sometimes hanged. The ever-expanding 300-acre Turtle Bay Park houses the recently opened Turtle Bay Museum, with extraordinary hands-on exhibits focusing on the environment and an outstanding collection of American Indian baskets. The kids will love the park's Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp, which includes a playground, logging and ecology exhibits and the popular summer butterfly house, where the fragile winged creatures flit about and alight on welcoming visitors.

Recently ate lunch here, and was impressed by the large quantity, and excellent quality of the food. Ordered three dishes for three people, and had quite a bit to take away. Prices are reasonable, and staff attentive and polite. Loads of free parking.

The closest thing to authentic Chinese food in an American Chinese restaurant is Beef and Broccoli. The Beef and Broccoli I ate here is one of the best servings I have ever eaten. It tasted great. There was a lot of tender beef, and the serving was large. For the quality and amount of food I was served, the price seemed to be on the low side, which surprised me. The service was fast and friendly. The interior of the restaurant was modern, clean, and we'll decorated. All things considered, this restaurant deserves the highest rating. The photo of my meal was after I had already eaten about one quarter it. There was a lot of food.

Stopped by with family while traveling up Hwy 5. We have been searching for a good asian restaurant close to the highway for years. Found on TA the food was generous and well made. Place was quite busy, but good service none the less. We had Hot and Sour Soup that was very good to start along with 6 other items. Meat dishes were actually meat and all sauces were well crafted. There was one dish that was ordered that was not on the menu that could have been better, but all said we will be back and look forward to it. Cheers

Conveniently off the I-5 exit. This restaurant was recommended by our motel owner even though there were restaurants across the street from our motel. We liked Panda South so much we returned there our second evening there. Staff welcomed us back war
We chose this restaurant to celebrate a graduation--we had eaten here previously. Our group was medium size, and since we had made reservations before hand, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Service was good, friendly. Some of us ordered from the family dinner option A, and others from the combination plates. The food was good, the options were good too. One observation, the individual plates seemed to be more plentiful than the family dinner plates. All in all, it was a good experience. Try the cashew shrimp, it's delicious!
We were visiting from NC and decided to eat out - we are glad we ate here! Excellent Pot Stickers - my wife thinks they are the best she has ever had. Portion sizes were large, the food was hot and tasty, and the service very prompt.
