Reviews on Chinese food in Clonmel, Province of Munster, Ireland. Clonmel (Irish: Cluain Meala, meaning "honey meadow") is the county town and largest settlement of County Tipperary, Ireland. The town is noted in Irish history for its resistance to the Cromwellian army which sacked the towns of Drogheda and Wexford. With the exception of the townland of Suir Island, most of the borough is situated in the civil parish of "St Mary's" which is part of the ancient barony of Iffa and Offa East.

Went to emperor for a Sunday dinner with my cousin, was my first time eating here but definitely wasn't the last. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was both quick and very very polite. Was a very good experience, definitely worth 5/5

We had a lovely meal in Pearls last Sat. night. Duck and Crab spring rolls top class. King Prawn in Black Bean sauce , the prawns could not have been fresher and my partner had curried steak which was cooked medium rare which he had asked for. Rice and home made chips lovely. You can bring your own wine with corkage of 5 euro. Will be back real soon.

A party of four of us visited this restaurant and I can honestly say we won't be paying a return visit. After we were shown to our table, we were left sitting there for about ten minutes before the menus were brought to us at which time a bowl of prawn crackers were also placed on the table. Three of us ordered curries with fried rice and I odered mine with boiled rice. The service was very slow but eventually there was a warm plate put in front of each of us which needless to say had gone cold by the time the curries arrived. Minutes later, the fried rice was served but no sign of any boiled rice. We waited, and waited, and waited and when a waitress approached and asked if everything was okay, we asked about the boiled rice. She told us the rice was on it's way. It wasn't that they were busy on the night because for the most part, the staff were standing in the middile of the floor chatting to each other. Fifteen minutes later the rice arrived at which stage the other three in our party were almost finished their meal. Not wanting to delay them, I ate some of my meal and requested the remainder to be boxed so that I could take it home. Well it was no surprise to find that when I got home and opened the boxed food, there was no rice with it. The night was a total disaster and we all agreed that the food wasn't great and neither was the staff.
Tried two dishes we haven't tried before last Saturday night and both were absolutely delicious. The satay sauce is just right. Absolutely spot on!The Gyoza starter, though over-priced at â¬6 is very nice. Fresh & tasty. The portion sizes are spot on and sometimes too much but that just means you have some tasty food left over for the next day!By far the tastiest Chinese in Clonmel and surrounding towns and areas. Definitely worth a visit.Worth going out of your way for!
