I absolutely Love this place. The steamed and baked manapua is great. Not as good as Hawaii, but when Im craving for dim sum this is the place to go. No need for me to drive all the way to Downtown Chinatown. They also sell Spam Musubi, roast duck and charsiu. Good selection of dessert items.
Probably the worst chinese buffet Ive ever been to. Bad service, food was worse. There was a waitress there pushing a cart around with drinks (ie Pepsi, Lemonade, Water, etc...) But when I asked for a Diet Pepsi, she looked at her cart and said, Oh, its not on here....Im sorry....Can you possibly go get one?? Seriously, she acted like I was the biggest inconvenience. The food was so much worse....Being from Vegas, I know a good buffet or two and this was definitely not up to any buffet standards...The food looks like it had been sitting out for awhile and the everything either looked over fried or over steamed...Desserts were just all kinds of jello. The food mustve been sitting out because I got the worst stomach ache when I got home and so did the rest of my family.Save your money and your stomach and go elsewhere!!
Admittedly, I stopped in because I was really hungry and I found out another restaurant that I wanted to go to for dinner, was only open at lunch on Mondays. This was the closest choice that might have had what I was craving, but I ended up choosing their vegetable shimp and sweet and sour pork. The portions were enormous... - enough left over for lunch the next two days. The quality is okay, but the staff is what brings people back. I noted that the waitress knew the regulars who came in and they all like both the waitress and the waiter on duty that day. It's NOT an ultra-clean type of place, so if that is off-putting to you, it may be best to choose another venue. I liked my meal there and I would try them again.
Where to eat Vietnamese food in Carson: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This restaurant serves both Chinese and Thai. We found this place on Yelp, but for some reason there is no Tripadvisor review, so I'm submitting this one. Maybe it's because this restaurant is more of a locals place than a tourist's place? Let's see if we can change that. This place is pretty awesome. We came here for a family dinner on a Sunday evening. The store front is very unassuming and it is located in a strip mall whose anchors are a Planet Fitness and a Numero Uno Market. There was only one other party there when we arrived, but it was before 6pm.I'll make it short and sweet. You'll get food here that beats the quality of most fancier restaurants but at a lower price point. If you're the type of person who finds themselves in this area and doesn't need to always eat in a large, elaborately decorated restaurant, I highly recommend this place.Oh, as far as dishes we had, soup, curry, pad thai, fried rice, a couple dishes with fish, some sort of stir fried noodles ... honestly, we ordered waaay too much, probably twice as much as we needed. But it was all very good, and considering how much we ordered, the bill still came out pretty low.
