Reviews on Chinese food in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, United States. Bala Cynwyd ( /ˈbælə ˈkɪnwʊd/ BAL-ə-KIN-wuud) is a community in Lower Merion Township which is located on the Main Line in southeastern Pennsylvania, bordering the western edge of Philadelphia at US Route 1 (City Avenue). It was originally two separate towns, Bala and Cynwyd, but is commonly treated as a single community. This came about when a single US Post Office served both towns (the "Bala Cynwyd" Branch) using ZIP code 19004. The community was long known as hyphenated Bala-Cynwyd. Bala and Cynwyd are currently served by separate stations on SEPTA's Cynwyd Line of Regional Rail.

They have 3/4 locations in and around Philadelphia area. The one on Lancaster is the best. I tried the Seafood in Birds Nest. It came in a too cute edible bowl. I loved the combination of all seafoods and some greens. Dumpling was good too. Nice and clean restaurant.

Shangri-La Inn specializes in Hibachi (Japanese Teppanyaki Steakhouse), Sushi, and Classic Chinese Cuisine. All have been Voted "Best of the Main Line" several times since 1997. Japanese Teppanyakiâyour most entertaining dinner ever! Steaks, Bass, Lobster
If you're looking for a good Asian lunch and if you appreciate an inexpensive "lunch special," this is your place! The food is good, a little above your average Chinese restaurant grub, but if you get a lunch special it's a real deal. I'll return to this spot.

Small Chinese restautant located on the side of the Acme in the Bala Strip Mall on Cityline Ave. on the Philadelphia/Bala Cynwyd border. Been eating there for over ten years and the food is consistantly good. This is a take out restaurant though they do have a couple of chairs. I usally get the garlic chicken lunch special for $6.35 with fried rice. The portions are ample and delicious.

Located next to the Narbeth Movie Theater. My wife and I took the kids to movies and decided to get some quick Chines Food to take home. We looked at the menu and were pleasantly surprised a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. Eggplant in Black Bean sauce is possibly addictive!

I visited Han Dynasty with a party of 8 for a birthday dinner for my 9 year old. I discovered the location after reviewing Trip Advisor and called and made reservations that evening. Once there we decided on tasting menu which included roughly 8 different courses. You need a party of at least 8 to choose this option and it was well worth it. They provided traditional Chinese dishes that might scare off those that are a little less adventurous. Overall the experience was great. The service was so-so but the food made up for it.
