The Hotel Sykora is undergoing renovation but the restaurant is open. Although English, we live local and had family visiting us. We decided to try the restaurant under the new owners and was very pleasantly impressed. The room is newly fitted and well decorated. The menu was not too large to confuse and the choice was good. This will be a really nice place when complete. My family were so impressed they asked to go again and they were only in Czech for 5 days. The foid was really good and reasonably priced.For those visiting Krivoklat castle, you must visit this place. As of now it is still being renovated but do try the restaurant. In summer it will be a great place to sit out and relax.We will definitely be back, as we regularly have visitors from UK that want to eat good food locally.Dear Roger,thank you very much for your review.We really appreciate your words and hope you will come again in the summer and see, how we continue with our reconstruction with hotel. We arrived after 9pm as guests to the adjoining hotel and were kindly informed that the kitchen was closed. Finally they agreed to make us a chicken schnitzel with French fries. This meal was absolutely fantastic and can recommend. Great service and very friendly.

After a visit to the castle, we had a very nice lunch at this restaurant. The restaurant was the former home of the game master and is very picturesque on the mill creek. The service was quick and the food was very reasonably priced. It is also a very quick walk from the restaurant to the train station. They have several traditional venison dishes.

Drove in for the late lunch on Sunday, place was packed in the garden, but no problem the waiter found me the place on the large table with bunch of bikers, nice guys, ordered wiener schnitzel with potato salad , probably the best one I ever had, service was exelent and fast. The place bit in the country site, not very well marked on the roads, but it's worth every penny to look for it.

For a large group, we could pick anything on the menu, it looked good and tasted good. There is no food issue here. I've seen this described as the place to eat in Rakovnik, and where restaurants are concerned this will take some beating Our large group of people left well fed and happy, so a good choice It's also GREAT VALUE
