Chef Carlos Careres creates unique entrees combining talents learned while studying in Canada with his El Salvadoran background. We ate at his restaurant, as recommended in Frommer's guide, and it was the best meal we had bar none in El Salvador. The stea
Had a nice steak dinner in this pleasant restaurant on one of Juayua's main streets. I found the small (4 oz) version to be more than enough food, as it came with a plate of potatoes fried with cheese, rice, and bread. A number of beef dishes with various sauces on the menu, as well as ribs with barbecue sauce. Nicely decorated dining rooms, friendly wait staff. But my friend and I were the only customers on a Wednesday night.
Esmeralda does one thing and they do it well... Pupusas! The pupusas here are some of the best Iâve ever had. When you visit try the loco. Itâs a big pupusa thatâs loaded with everything! And itâs amazing! The restaurant is usually filled with locals with a few tourists at one or two tables. Itâs an authentic El Salvadoreño experience. We came here twice for dinner during our stay in Juayua and loved it both times. The pupusas are great but the large bowl of spicy slaw thatâs served with them rounds out the meal. I canât say enough good things about Esmeralda Pupusaria. Youâve got to try it out!
Some of the best pupusas I've had in El Salvador!! a bit greasy, but delicious! and soooo cheap!!!!
La Rumba is renowned for great food, aromatic coffee, imported teas and delicious desserts. Using only the finest ingredients we offer you juicy burgers, falafel, salmon, tapas & much more - all enriched with our spectacular home-made sauces. Here you wil
We have eaten here many times now and the food has always been top notch. Highly recommended are the juicy 6 oz burgers; the chili subs; chicken in ginger and lime sauce, and the salmon persillade. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Service is friendly, music is chilled and karaoke is there for those that want it. Particularly pleasant is the atmosphere - sharing your experience with chatty locals, whilst dining in a restaurant awash with artwork including tables made from recycled industrial spools, that are hand painted with mandalas.

We were a group of twelve that dined (and stayed) at Jardin de Celeste. Total for dinner was around $170 with tip. I saw some complains on pricing, but as an American, it seemed fair for the quality/quantity of food received.Fare around the table varied, but most went with the churrasco. All and all, very good.
