We had the full restaurant and bed 'n breakfast experience at this establishment and it was wonderful. This quaint little place made largely of bamboo was rustic, festive, and spotlessly clean. The owners, Olga and Francois, made our stay feel like we were staying with family. We ate every single meal here, and were magically more impressed with each experience. Olga is an extremely talented gourmet chef, and when we asked her if she could put together a lunch basket for us to take on an excursion, we were delighted to find the marinated shrimp skewers, mussels in a sauce that is inexplicably delicious, and a to-die-for salmon pate with french bread. She even packed us linens! I cannot say enough about El Nido del Postre, and if you are ever on Isla Grande, you will be cheating yourself by not going for at least a visit and a meal.

beautiful view with wonderful seafood, prepared fresh while you enjoy the view from the beach. We had amazing shrimp and ice cold drinks, while we sat on the bay.

I stopped here out of curiosity cause it looked like it belonged in pirates of the Caribbean and I wasn't disappointed. The menu is ok, I had a fish place which came out fine and the people I was with also enjoyed their food. It has a really good view of the small bay and I found the place quite appealing. The prices are so/so. Your gonna pay about 15 bucks per plate so it's not gonna be super cheap eats. I am actually glad I stopped here and would come back again.

When I imagined how am I going to spend the day in Portobelo it would like to find a little place like this!On the beach, hippie and shabby ,friendly faces...Well... is the perfect combination, clean but adequate decorated with dusty antiques ,accessible and no aggression, feeling like in other spots in these neighborhoods;La Cazuela De Mariscos exceeded all expectations and we declare this the best seafood soup (stew) we ever had!The Creole cuisine, signature is authentic and fit perfectly into the landscape! There is a pirate who is definitely hidden his treasure here:)Thank you!

Totally recommend sitting downstairs near the water. We went to Portobelo just to eat at this place (it was highly recommended by the locals). When we went, the langostinos were not available, so we had the corvine fish strips (deditos de corvina). With the freshly squeezed lime and home made hot sauce, they were so good that we ended up ordering another one. For our main course, we ordered the coconut octopus (this was a fresh tomato base sauce with coconut) with coconut rice. Amazing! We also had the garlic shrimp with "patacones" (green plantains). The shrimps were large in size, but we had to peel them, so I recommend skipping this one. Finally, the place had some spectacular views, and we were able to snap some gorgeous pictures and enjoy a beautiful (though cloudy) Atlantic sunset.
