I knew that this place was going to be good when we arrived. As we were outside waiting to be seated, I noticed that no one in the restaurant had a tan. This was a local's joint for the most part. There is a regular menu as well as daily specials which are put up on a chalkboard, and erased as they sell out. We were a group of 11 people, and so we were able to try many dishes. As appetizers we had the clam chowder, conch fritters, stamp & go fish cakes, calamari, and clams casino. For our mains we had fish & chips, tuna steak, fried shrimp, jerked pork, & the stuffed shrimp. Everything was very good. The service was fast & friendly. You definitely need to visit this hidden gem if you're in Pompano beach. It's even worth the drive if you're staying in Fort Lauderdale.

We have been to this restaurant several times for lunch. The food is great and they have daily specials until 3 PM. They're posted on their website and at the restaurant, but conveniently, they do NOT offer you the specials menu or mention the specials unless you ask. I have seen it and experienced it several times when they say that the special is "not available" or that they're "sold out." It's a leader product and they change it weekly so it's something they put time and effort planning, you would think. I have seen people walk out because "they're out of the special of the day" when they are really not. If you order the same meal and you're willing to pay the regular price, all of the sudden it's available. Very misleading and conniving practice in my opinion. If you promote a special, you should commit to it until lunch is over. Today, we went in for 3 specials and conveniently to them, they were out of it at 1 PM when the special runs until 3 PM. We walked out. They won't be in business for long if they continue to lie. People notice and like to deal with honest businesses. This is not one of them. Sad but true.

Iâm going to run out of superlatives in describing this wonderful little Cuban family-owned and run restaurant, off the beaten track. Sometimes, the best places are worth the travel and this is certainly one of them. The reviews on social media were so good, we were intrigued. The frita burger is exceptional: excellent beef, chipotle aioli, chorizo jam, Swiss cheese and crispy onions on a fresh Cuban roll. The pork is marinated for 24 hours and then slow-roasted for 8 hours and it is flavorful perfection. Served with black beans, rice, two different kinds of plantains and garlic aioli. All the sauces, jams and aiolis are homemade. Even the chorizo sausage is homemade. The Caribbean slaw was so good we ordered another. Dressed in a light, creamy mango and citrus sauce, it blew doors off any we had had before anywhere else. No wonder Guy Fieri is coming here soon. The service was superb and the atmosphere so inviting. So happy to have found this little food paradise.

I found a little place of Jamaica in Coconut Creek. The curry chicken and goat are amazing. The flavors are out this world. The atmosphere is very welcoming. You can detached from your office and enjoy a nice lunch listening to reggae and calipso music. The hot sauce is very addictive. When you are in Coconut Creek pass by and get some patties. We been to Latin Cafe about 5 times. The first thing, if you ask for cafe con leche they will give you a little plastic stirrer. Really? like it was to go. You just don't serve cafe con leche at a table with a stirrer. Needed to ask for a real spoon each time. They don't know how to make a ham & cheese omelette, you don't slap two slices of cheese on top and call it. Am hopping it will improve and its the little things that make it good. (Management says it has resolved the spoon with cafe con leche issue), will see on the next visit. .
