This Bistro prides itself on using local produce and drinks. Quebec wine and beer, vegetables and berries. Very simple menu but something for everyone. Started with a Quebec cheese plate which consisted of 3 types of cheeses easy on the palate and a wonderful pear sauce. Dishes selected were penne with thin sliced deer, Rigatoni with oyster mushrooms and Indian butter chicken. All were very tasteful and good portions. For dessert we ordered blueberry and apple crisp and poudding chomeur. The crisp was far better than the poudding. Service provided by Isabelle was polite, effecient and she spoke English. Prices were fair. The Quebec countryside has so many dining jewels where you can taste local, fresh food prepared in a different way. If you go to the Saguenay region, don't miss Bistro de L'Anse.

Restaurant French and regional cuisine, panoramic view of the fjord, current decor, welcoming staff.
Quebec City restaurateur, Frédérick Montagner, recently moved to L'Anse St Jean to open this new restaurant. I loved the interior design with birch trees and windows to the marina. The thoughtful menu features food by local producers and regional influences. I loved the duck dish. The restaurant was full of happy diners who were enjoying the live music. I think many were locals. The server did a good job of keeping us all satiated.

Don't expect service here but the local food is great. I cant visit without going here for Hot Dogs and a beer. Just a good quick stop place.

This beautiful bistro serves fresh, organic, regional food as well as micro-brewery beers. It has a patio on the front just beside the salmondâriver. There is art and expositions all along the season.
In a converted barn, delicious dinner highlighted with local products - the smoked salmon pizza was outstanding. Welcoming and flexible kitchen, they made to order and adjusted dishes for personal preferences. Try the local blueberry beer - no really! not sweet, perfect with the pizza. After the berry pie (fresh from the bushes out back,) we picked up some of the homemade jam to take with us. Local artisans are featured in attached boutique.
