Cappuccino und hervorragenden Kuchen haben wir im Rathauscafe genossen. Der Service war korrekt, schnell und kühl. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Café war in der Mittagszeit von Berufstätigen und einigen Touristen besucht. Das Gebäude ist modern, die Innenräume mit groÃen Glasfassaden wirken hell und luftig. Auf den Freisitzen zum Rathausplatz hin sitzt man ruhig und verkehrsfrei.

We worked up quite a thirst hiking to see the castle ruins in Durnstein. After getting back into town, we were very happy to find the Cafe Durnstein and very much enjoyed their Eiskaffee. Enjoy!

Donauprinzessin is a mixture of coffee house, pizzeria and gelateria. We are located in the heart of the Wachau Valley, named in Spitz an der Donau. We offer 35 indoor and 70 outdoor seats.

This restaurant & ice cream café sits right across from the ferry stop on the west side of the Danube and offers a small indoor area and a larger outdoor patio. The ice cream, which is sold both inside the café and at a smaller kiosk across the street, is reasonably fair and is one of the only sources of ice cream in town. We stopped for dinner and were extremely disappointed in both the food and beverages as well as the curt service. We know enough German to order properly. The pizza was just plain poor upon first glance, and the taste reinforced the low quality. The pizza fruitti de mare was awful with small calamari, shrimp, and mussles sparsely sprinkled on the top, almost no cheese, and covered with a plethora of minced onions. (fruit of the sea????). The chardonnay by the glass was like weak, slightly fizzy ginger ale and the Sprite was flat and sour tasting. Avoid for dinner.Dear dvorac4, I am very sorry to hear that you did not have good dinner at our Cafe. I will forward your information regarding the Pizza frutti di mare to my cook. Usually we do have a lot of locas and guests who are very satisfired with our pizzas, anyhow I thank you for your feedback! Regarding the drinks, I will check the CO2 myself. We do have an quite old dispensing equipment. The Chardonnay is from a local wine maker, sorry that you didn't like it. Nevertheless, hope at least the ice cream was ok. Wir haben nichts gegessen, folglich kann ich nichts darueber sagen. Es liegt am Weg vom "Welterbesteig". Einkehren sollte man auf jeden Fall. Es gibt nachher ausschliesslich einen Heurigen und der ist fast am Ende des Steigs.
