We almost didn't find the cafe, because in our phone it didn't come up as a cafe; comes up as a bakery. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of quiche, quesadilla, soup, tea and a cookie for dessert. Not alot of seating, but there was a couple of tables outside for nice days. Great service, food and ambiance. Glad we found it! Cute tea room...Even my husband liked it!

My party of five lunched here as a part of our visit to the adjacent Cold War Museum. We ordered the reuben, the curried chicken sandwich, the BLT with avocado, the Italian, and a cheeseburger. All four of the sandwiches were excellent. The cheeseburger was good but not to the level of the sandwich (the person who chose it always orders a cheeseburger if it is an option). We ordered a side of potato salad which was outstanding. The staff were friendly and efficient; we were impressed with how quickly the food arrived although it clearly was prepared for us, not just re-heated.Two minor shortfalls prevent us from awarding 5 stars. (1) In addition to the potato salad, one of our party purchased a small bag of potato chips. All agreed that they tasted stale. Upon examination we found that the bag was well past its sell-by date. (2) The only option for whitening the coffee was chemical creamers. A cafe of this quality should offer either milk or the mini-containers of half-and-half.Would we return? Absolutely yes. In fact we find ourselves in that part of Northern Virginia several times a year and look forward to stopping by, without another visit to the museum.Would we recommend to friends? Again, unequivocally yes.
