My wife and I went there with our adult son and his girlfriend. You get abundant and tasty food, for a pretty steep price for this type of restaurant. My wife and my pancakes were good and my son's omelet was tasty. My million dollar bacon was a little cold. Service was perfunctory. A big plus on busy days is to use the app which allows you to go to the front of the line. Otherwise we would have had a 20 minute wait.

Troy's closed their Mason restaurant earlier this year and sometime around August 2019 they sold the West Chester restaurant to a new management team. The menu is still the same, at least for now, and our food looked, tasted and was priced the same as it was before. The staff is all new which makes me wonder if the old staff was forced out or chose to leave which is odd since help wanted signs were posted in the window That usually doesn't bode well for a restaurant. We did notice the wine prices seemed to go up. $10 for a glass of wine at Jag's is expected but in a place like Troy's it seemed a bit high IMO. We wish them well as the area needs a nice, small independent restaurant. Time will tell but if you go there, be aware it's under new management.

This reopening of the Troubadour seems to be quite successful. We visited for a week day lunch. The place was busy but everything seemed to flow well. Our lunch was one of the day's specials...chipoltle turkey wrap. It was a generous serving and came with a choice of sides. We chose Marty's slaw which is a warm sweet/sour slaw. There was no rush to leave and Clare came by often to freshen our drinks or see if we needed anything. I brought home some fresh baked cookies also. I would choose this place any day over a chain restaurant. The food tasted fresh and the service came with a smile.

I just can't get enough of those little swedish meatballs, and my husband loves the chocolate cake. The kids will normally eat the meatballs too. I love getting swedish specialties like current or elderberry flavored items. Their salmon is actually good too. A great break after walking through the store for an hour or two.
