Now thatâs a German Pancake! We beat the line and were able to get quickly in and quickly out. The Smoked Ham, Eggs and Crispy Hash Browns were all perfectly prepared and yummy! The German Pancake with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries was the perfect breakfast dessert. We would happily go back!!Hi there,I've sent you a private message to thank you for your review. Big restaurant very busy, vibrant with local people. High ceilings with different types of seatings. There was outside seatings too. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Menu offered varieties. We had pan cakes and traditional breakfast. Portions were big but too much fried potatoes and a bit too greasy for us. Maybe some people like them that way. All dishes were attractively plated and tasty. Only one comment about the crab meat egg Benedict, the crab meat cake was bit too greasy and hard to distinguish the crab meat taste. Services from staff were excellent.

Do breakfast Gaslamp style at the Broken Yolk! Nestled in the historic Gaslamp Quarter in the heart of America's Finest City, the Broken Yolk brings brunch to the next level with huge portions of all your favorite breakfast dishes-and a few surprises too!
I stayed at the Residence Inn across the street, so the Broken Yolk was an easy, convenient choice for lunch. The storefront sign said it had late night meals, but actually it doesn't because it closes at 3pm. My colleague had a massive breakfast burrito, and i had the sopes. Portion size was large, so I am pretty sure I overate. This place must also be very good because they sell branded tshirts.Thank you for your review! We hope you enjoyed your Sopes and look forward to seeing you again!

Our story starts in 1939 in a small coffee shop called Jerryâs. Fast forward a few decades, when we changed our name to Claytonâs to celebrate our shift to a full-service diner. We revamped our menu with the additions of home-cooked dishes, milkshakes, an
Late lunch after driving over to Coronado and a great atmosphere with good food. Classic diner style seating with very personable service to match. Ham and Cheese Sandwich was particularly good with sweet potato fries. Apple pie looked amazing but we had no room for it!That has to be the only downside about big portions! We're thrilled that you're such a fan of our diner, and we'd love to have you back again soon for that pie! Keep coming back and thank you for sharing your experience! We'll see you soon!Best wishes,Andrew P., Director of Operations

I funky kind of place in a number of ways.....seating, decor, open to street noise, etc. While service was certainly a long way from a fine dining experience it was perfect in every way. The hard working staff was clearly intent on being sure you were accomodated. Circumstances were such that our group of 6 could only enjoy breakfast in the city otherwise we'd be at Lucky's for lunch as well. Price was good, servings generous, and food excellent. A must spot for breakfast at the very least.
