Retail loose leaf tea, spices, teaware, & giftware. Tea Room/Cafe serves traditional afternoon tea service, gourmet sandwiches, homemade quiche, soup, scones and sweets. Wine by the glass.
This cute little restaurant beckoned us for lunch one day, so we gave it a try. I ordered the turkey sandwich that had thick slices of turkey and a cranberry basil mayo spread. It was on thick bland white bread which did not help the sandwich. Due to large mass of bread, whatever flavor the sandwich may have had was lost. The accompanying salad was large, fresh and delicious. My wife's tomato basil soup was very good, but she wished she had chosen another salad to go with it. She didn't realize the apples in it were Granny Smith which she doesn't like. The raspberry scone we had was delicious. We ordered a pot of tea to share that was not completely full of water; thus, we did not get two cups each. The service was excellent, and in spite of what may sound like a somewhat negative review, we plan to eat there again and try the afternoon tea special.Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that we did not fully meet your expectations on everything. Most of our sandwiches do come on the ciabatta, however, you are always welcome to request another bread, such as wheat, rye or Italian if you would prefer. Our pots are 3 cup pots, and I will follow up with the staff to ensure they are filling the pots appropriately. We do hope that you will give us an other try in the future. Regards, Lisa

Slight Indulgence offers a large selection of unique wines and a great selection of culinary finery - that special fare that you don't find in the usual places. We gather at Slight Indulgence often, sometimes for lunch (a wonderful sandwich and salad menu) or to pick up a special wine. Perhaps my favorite recollection is of the Wine Class we attended here a few years ago. Week after week, in a small group setting, we were educated and introduced to a variety of great wines. It was enlightening experience and so much fun. It's also a great place to pick up a latte' or fine chocolates. You know, those slight indulgences!
